While I am a man of science, I am firmly convinced that maternity nurses must employ magic to get those newborn swaddles so snug and tight. I cannot reproduce it.

@DHHeartVascular @laurenggilstrap @DrMarkCreager @DartmouthHealth @GeiselMed This is an immense tragedy. I remember being so fond of and impressed by Lauren that I tried -and miserably failed- to convince her to go into GI. My heart aches for her family.

We are profoundly saddened by the loss of Dr. Lauren Gilstrap on October 21st. Lauren was not only an incredibly talented physician, researcher, and teacher, but she was a dear friend to so many. She was a shining light and embodied true excellence in everything she did.

I feel seen.
