I get the feeling that ireland is about the learn the hard, financial way that lazy knowledge of world history and amateur politics has consequences.

@KodonkeyDokong @JoelKeysNI The problem with taking the joke that far is that... having a species of ant called protest ants is hilarious. Pretending all protestants are orange men or yadda yadda. Nope. Let's be sound about it.

@eamonnwobrien @JoelKeysNI We'll let Joel decide. Ants protesting something would be shite craic. Got to have something more to the skit than just the name.

@KodonkeyDokong @JoelKeysNI Ah no. Its not a derogatory thing. It would be just wickedly funny in a Frasier script kind of way. Dumb stuff helps us all move on.

@Irishchutzpah I'd love to visit Israel one day. Is there a way of sort of getting involved in something like this.

I arrived on the back of a tractor. Dropped at the entrance and shlepped up the long drive to be met by a lovely man who spoke perfect English. I felt I was home. I spent two months in the back of a potato picking machine and found my niche making omelettes en masse each morning.

We need to think strongly about how we build a society that's unbelievably harsh on the right people.

@The_Wee_Doggie Not only that but much of this island needs to learn about the United Irishmen. That's when the British Empire really raised an eyebrow over Ireland.

#OnThisDay 1920 Eileen Quinn, a 23 year old mother of three (who was 7 months pregnant) from Gort, Galway was shot by passing Black and Tans while holding her 9 month old baby in her lap. Eileen was hit in the groin by a bullet & bled to death later that day. #Ireland #History

@eamonnwobrien @irishelt It's peddled hard by certain performative organisations and movements because they can make simplistic maps onto similar issues that happened here in history

I remember protesting in Dublin against the Russian Empire and Syrian regime bombing and slaughter of Syrians. There were 5 of us protesting. No flags waving, no mass protests, no calls for embassies to be closed. Just a few of us boring the ar&e of everyone on twitter. 🙄

Super cool how people on this platform can post videos of Assad's war crimes in Syria, claim that it's actually Gaza, and then delete it after 500,000 people have seen it with absolutely no consequences.

@StefJamieSan @DavQuinn I love that there's people out there that think going 100% in on a finite resource (unless you believe in amniotic oil created by god) that has supply restraints would be cheaper than an infinite reactor in the sky.

Genuine question: can someone point me to a country which has switched heavily to renewables with a big fall in energy prices? Thanks.

@punkerTan If the quality of reporting is this poor you'd nearly be for giving them back free Renaults and fantasy redundo payments to see if it improves any.

@eoinyk Based on the anti semitism puking out of ireland these days it's hard to disagree with our island not being on the dark side of life.

Lmao the replies think Andrew Tate has anything to do with the question. The guys a tool. I've said as such before on here. I'm not his fan 🤣 Neither did I say anything about anyone passing out.
Joel Keys@JoelKeysNI

I think this actually raises an interesting question. If a woman wakes up, remembers she had sex while drunk, and feels she was taken advantage of - that's rape. What if she doesn't feel she was taken advantage of? What if she has no regrets? Was it still rape?

@irishelt There's massive issues in the West in terms of we view the middle east as one cohesive block. The Germans and French have more in common than the Peshmerga and Hamas for example.

@irishelt I think there's a better living possible through poll data. 30% of Iraqis view America favourably. Their biggest gripe is their mishandling of the peace that follows. In contrast Iranian regime polls at 10% in Iraq. 10% of Saudi Arabians view Hamas favourably.

Guess it's easier to blame 'the west' than the Iranians, Saudis, Turks, Russian Empire etc. Because here in Syria and Iraq the Iranian Revolutionary Guards are directly responsible for more deaths than everyone else. But let's just park that and blame 'the west' 🫤
Muhammed Ali@Chainless_Slave

Today's events in Palestine should be a lesson for every Muslim not to take any more crap from Westerners about terrorism The real terrorists are and always have been the Western nations who colonise and massacre people and enable such genocides to happen Enough is enough!
