@Kekius_Sage We can move through time freely OUTSIDE simulation (cause and effect actions have meaning when time is directional). Playing past and future holos possible during "life review" from any character perspective. In-Sim Rebooting to earlier age reboots memory (unless script rewrite)

Why can we move through space freely but not through time?

@morrah202017340 @WildMediaOnly I don't get it. What does "1" mean? You were the only one that got it right? Or you got a "1" (low score) instead of 100? What was the question?

@WildMediaOnly Reminds me of that one time where I thought I completely flunked a math test only for the teacher to say "And if anyone has problems with that you can just ask X about it". I was like wtf? And at the end of the lesson when we got our tests back I was the only one that had a 1.

I’m 22. Give me oddly specific life tips. No general ”surround yourself with positive people” tips. I want the most random, specific advice possible.

@ick_real Make a life plan in 5 year increments until you're 80. I was asked to do that when I was 27. Sure it's going to vary a bit over time. It will be your guiding light. I know because I'm 65 and life has been good. My 70 year life goal is on mark. Nice question.

@DonD98811043 @alhamedhq @elonmusk So you are saying this booster is made just for earth and they would need to do it from scratch with another booster for moon and mars. Those would need landing legs

@edepot @alhamedhq @elonmusk The true purpose is to turn around the booster for reusing within 30 minutes. Fire it, land it, reload it and fire it again. No moving the rocket back to the launcher. When you need to fuel all the mars rockets in Earth’s orbit or send space based data-centers, you need this.

@doomba @FlyTheElephant1 @alhamedhq @elonmusk That would be dumb (if not on roadmap). Mars or Moon would be like Hotel California (you can die but never leave). If colony has emergency because of unforeseen hazard and needs go back to earth... Do they THEN build a factory and THEN a booster? Or send one with legs ready to go

@FlyTheElephant1 @alhamedhq @elonmusk SpaceX is not going to be making boosters on the Moon or Mars (for a long time until humans get there or until robots can do factory work). They would need to send boosters to Mars or the Moon with landing legs. Making legs is easier than making a chopstick, like 100 times easier

I'm not missing the point. These boosters are cheap (relative) and do not need to land in any scenario other than the one they are designed to. There are no scenarios where they want to land it in another location. The gain in delta-v is better than having multiple landing choices.

@FlyTheElephant1 @alhamedhq @elonmusk You are missing the point: no matter if it is a booster or not, it can't land on flat ground (emergency or otherwise). It needs chopsticks. Suppose they need a booster on the moon or on mars (by refueling in space it is possible). It can't land unless redesigned with landing legs

That's a booster, it couldn't make it to mars even if they wanted it to or even if they launched it without the ship, not enough delta-v. without a ship on top it would have enough delta-v to go to orbit with no cargo, and then all it would be able to do then is land on the chopsticks.

A conscious AI robot needs feedback loops into all actions taken. A robot is not conscious if it just sends a signal to rotate a camera nth degrees and gets signal it is done, AI robot must be the one moving the mechanical "muscle" of the eye and "feel" the rotation along the way

There are many types of consciousness. A person blind or deaf from birth are lacking 2 senses of consciousness. A person waking from total anesthesia, or witnessing slow gain of function from limb under partial anesthesia proves this. Useful conscious AI needs many senses as well

@alhamedhq @elonmusk Bad design decision. To save weight, they made chopstick landing structures. This means Starship can't land anywhere without those chopsticks (including emergency ones on flat ground, or even land on mars). Starship will be redesigned yet again with landing legs to land on Mars.

@elonmusk Genuine question, why use this rather than having it land on the ground similar to the boosters?

@elonmusk Without rocket legs, it is difficult to have emergency landings outside of designated chopstick structures. It also means no landing on mars without a redesign (need to build ANOTHER chopstick structure on Mars first). Saving weight from legs is ultimately a bad design decision!

Early Mars colony have few gene variations and needs young baby makers to increase population. Genetic scans will provide optimal teen pairings for mandatory sex (can't opt out). Lonely teens will go to mars for sex (like gold rush). Good gene pool programs will transfer to earth

If SpaceX goes IPO, does that mean there is enough resources to go it alone to Mars? No more need for US governmental financial support (only need them for permission, licenses, and passing regulatory hurdles). Mass automated spaceships grabbing Venus CO2 and dumping them on Mars

If Colony on Mars is the future, people need to pick up pace. Current geopolitical turmoil will sideline a lot of the space-directed directions many countries are taking. To get back on track, send numerous risky update-able AI walking robots (with eyes) on one way trips to Mars

In war time, you can calculate the IQ of a country by the territory gained divided by number of deaths total (including civilians). You can calculate the IQ of an ethnicity within a country similarly: number of people within a country gained divided by number of deaths during war
