Couldn't be any worse than the stuff core is doing right now. Removal of policy is the only thing that alternate implementations can do to hurt the network. Other than that their alternate implementation could randomly decide to invalidate a block, which would mean they would have to fix their bug to get back on the network.

@secsovereign @michelleo_21mil Who’s to say the users with their own node implementations won’t break it ? The incentive system. Which is the same answer to why can’t core break it. If this incentive system proves to be brittle or flawed in some way then we get our answer.

Alright so I guess there's going to be a non-age-check fork of every single Linux distro going forward. The issue is that the big corps using Linux will continue using the cucked versions. Funny - that's exactly what happened in Bitcoin. All the large corps still use Core while the based plebs all switched to Knots/110.

Still works, but nobody really cares about it. It will actually work even if nobody is mining it because it has auxpow. multiple times people stopped mining different algos on it, and the blocks kept going then they swapped out some of the algos for different ones to keep it going, they even had algos for phones to mine. Pretty neat thing, but again nobody cares or understands the technologies of that or of bitcoin, they dont understand or care about the limitations of bitcoin or of the consequences of not properly maintaining it or of the consequences of using bitcoin in ways that are not appropriate for the architecture of it.

Bitcoin’s core innovation is neutrality. When you start filtering out “unacceptable” transactions, you introduce governance risk into a previously neutral system. This increases the odds of capture. Objective technical limits are good. Arbitrary/subjective filtering is bad.

Its a common tactic that has been used in other arenas whereby there is only one tolerated falsehood and the truth is prohibited. They can never discuss the reality, only repeat slogans and attack anyone presenting evidence, reason, or the truth. If they discuss reality with people who are actually interested in reality, the entire game ends for them and people realize what reality is because they realize the lies are indefensible on the basis of evidence. Sometimes they try to discuss on evidence but they learn quickly not to do that because they are not equipped for it when they are pushing lies. The current phase seems to be them reverting to repeating old slogans that they used to say despite those slogans not applying to their current position and hoping that people wont notice. This continues until it stops working.

According to him it is lies and «fomenting torrents of hate”. He is trying to make me stop reporting by claiming I am responsible for people getting death threats and implying that I will get sued. All of this from documenting events with public record material. Yea its not bad. We do need more support though. Also once it activates there will be some other things that need to change to prevent utxo set bloat. BIP110 is consensusizing filters. There are basically three main ways to use bitcoin as a hard drive: 1) big data carriers. 2) many data carriers. 3) many transactions. BIP110 solves 1, the cat is one option for solving 3. If all three are solved then there wont be to my knowledge ways of deploying bulk data (at a remotely reasonable cost). There will always be ways to put data on there, the main thing is that the cost side of things must be solved, and the cost side of things must always be higher the third type of data attack.
