@mattvanp @JCSportsDetroit So many people like you fail to realize the Wings had crap in GR. Add to that the poor luck in the draft lottery, 8 years is a minimum. No elite FA wants to go to that kind of team. So all you can do is what Yzerman has done.

Rebuilds in NHL take time, 8 years is a minimum in a lot of cases unless you get that number one pick. Did I say once he’d save the Wings? It’s kinda a bad situation the Wings are in missing Larkin, Copp, Danielson and Lombardi hurt in GR.
Carter Bear is in WHL
Max Plante is at Duluth.
So yes, I’d take a shot at TJ Hughes, pretty sure it worked out with the Rangers trading for Adam Fox’s rights

I wouldn't read too much into Faulk's stats this season as St. Louis has been terrible this season. Solid all around Defenseman who probably steps right in 2nd pairing and gives you over 20 minutes per night. #G
