Have you ever tried the combo of 2C-B + GHB + DMT? If I had the resources I'd love to run clinical trials on it for depression. It has overlapping phenomenology with 5-MeO-DMT, but more reliably euphoric and less totalizing (lower ceiling of intensity and depth of ego death).
