@imduffy15 I'd fear it also distorts the pool of candidates in a bad way. You'll have those that understand employment contract law and or in a position that they can take the risk to ask permission. Remainder though, if many would feel it's a risk to their current contract, who's left?

@electrofelix Only seen that enforced when a conflict of interest occurs - say you work for jira or any other ticketing tool. But yeah. Agreed. Have given up opportunities in the past due to such a clause. Sought permission once but it didn’t seem like a well exercised process.

Received our 1st electricity bill since installing our solar panels 2 months ago. Fed back to the grid €107, Energy consumed from the grid €70. Credit of €37. Not a bad start! Any questions, just shout. There's a l lot of thought before making the decision!

@rorymcevoy The Big financial outlay is what's made us pause... but I really need to suss if loan repayments (while being in credit with the electricity provider) would be the same as what I'm paying in electricity bills anyway... we have a heat pump and an EV, so it should be a no-brainer.
