Hobbes argues that, since men only enter the social contract as a protection against suffering the worst thing, violent death, that they are entirely justified in any course of action if the states seeks to kill them. Once the state tries to kill you, including executing you after a fair trial, the contract is null, and you may use any means at your disposal to prevent the state from killing you. Is he right?
