There are resources and services available for people who feel they have been the victim of grooming. One is CAAGe, the Campaign Against Adult Grooming. Don’t listen to those that want to diminish what you went through.

@CrownedTraitor And that doesn’t diminish the grooming implications. I don’t have to assume that adults can be groomed. They absolutely can.

JFC people worrying about whether "grooming' is the best word to describe it? SEMANTICS. Stop trying to diminish what happened.

@eloyinterviews No one is trying to diminish what's happened, they're presenting you a factual retelling of what happened without the emotional argument attached. It wasn't grooming. The fact you can't seem to discuss it without immediately dismissing anyone's response to it is telling.

Grooming is not the right word for this situation. Not saying the sentiment is wrong, not throwing my opinion on it; but the use of it like this cheapens the word. Adults can be mislead, scammed and deceived; but grooming is a stretch especially compared to the situations of its most common use.

I do not condone grooming. If you don't think adults can be groomed then I seriously hope you never have a loved one affected by the grooming you don't believe in. Not for your sake, for theirs, since you won't believe them.

@eloyinterviews They can't. Once they turn into adults they are expected to make adult decisions with adult risks. Otherwise, they are not mature enough to be adults and someone else should be making those decisions for them.
