Eritrea’s not just rebuilding a team. It’s building an AFCON 2027 contender. After years of Western-backed youth drain, we’re coming back. And yes - we’re bringing our players back too.

Eritreans-never been this active and engaged on matters exclusive to #Ethiopia. The level of involvement resembles internal discourse more than conventional interstate interaction. Post rapprochement Eritreans fled in mass to Ethiopia triggering hasty border closure, Eritreans still flee to Ethiopia across the fortified border beside the shoot to kill order given by the dictator for life. It’s time for political and civic entities from both ends to cross the imaginary line and forge a better pathway. This Isaias-led hostage crisis has to come to an end.
Sirak Bahlbi@SirakBahlbi

Abiy Ahmed is modern-day Grigory Potemkin. Every week, he is subjecting #Ethiopia to endless ribbon-cutting for resorts, parks, and flashy corridor projects on one hand—and military camps, ammunition plants, and defense showcases on the other. Daily obsession with Optics and militarization, over and over again. But we never see him opening hospitals, schools, industries and infrastructure that actually sustain Ethiopia for future generations! Additionally, you never see anyone using the resorts and lodges that he opens. You can’t build a country on photo-ops and façades. At some point, the illusion cracks—and what’s left is the reality behind it, and this is just without mentioning the wars, the economic crisis, the deep ethnic divisions, the corruption, the endless crimes, the arrests, the diplomatic failures, ....

@DropSiteNews 😁😆 When SAF loses it calls on Ethiopia.... WTF! RSF is f*cking SAF that's reality leave alone Ethiopia. SAF wouldn't benefit from asking Ethiopia to join the party. Believe it would be catastrophic for SAF, if Ethiopia extends its hand.

🇸🇩 BREAKING: Heavy fighting is ongoing around Kurmuk in Sudan’s Blue Nile state in the southeast of the country near the Ethiopian border, as rebel forces attempt to seize the strategic town, Sudan Tribune reports. Sudanese officials accused Ethiopia of facilitating the assault, claiming RSF and SPLM-N forces moved through Ethiopian territory from Assosa. Rebels said they “crushed” army units near Jurut, a nearby area south of Kurmuk, while Sudanese forces reportedly withdrew toward Ed Damazin, the state capital. Kurmuk has changed hands repeatedly and remains a key flashpoint. OSINT analyst @AfriMEOSINT shares footage and details of the assault below. ⬇️

News: OLF-OLA joins #Fano in criticizing #Ethiopia’s upcoming election, calls it a ‘hollow ritual’ A week after the #Amhara Fano National Movement issued warnings over participation, the Oromo Liberation Front–Oromo Liberation Army (#OLF-#OLA) has also dismissed Ethiopia’s upcoming national election as lacking credibility, claiming that much of the country remains beyond the reach of a meaningful electoral process. In a press release issued on March 23, the group said the election has been reduced to “a performance staged for foreign consumption,” with over seventy percent of the country inaccessible for credible voting. According to the statement, major opposition parties have either withdrawn or are participating solely to avoid deregistration or to expose what it described as flaws in the process. “All remaining parties in the process are either created by or colluding with the regime,” the group added. Last week, Addis Standard reported, citing the #AFNM press release, that the movement had warned political parties, media figures, and other institutions that any participation in the electoral process would be considered aligning with the federal government’s agenda. Beyond the election, the OLF-OLA accused Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed of preparing a series of political maneuvers, including proposals related to the administrative status of Addis Ababa….. The main manifestation of terrorism !!! Spreading a statement in the name of Fano, saying that we will kill the people of Ethiopia, who peacefully go to political elections and contest elections with their right to citizenship, is a complete manifestation of terrorism.

@ett_future @Habtishgreat Talking loud doesn’t equal facts. Ethiopia is still struggling with internal conflict, inflation, and instability those aren’t ‘unstoppable growth,’ they’re real problems affecting millions. No one is ‘crying,’ people are just calling out reality. Focus on fixing your own issues❗️

@Habtishgreat @danielkibret but power politics from thousands of kilometers away while citizens inside Ethiopia bear the consequences is not responsible. Daniel Kibret’s idea is sound diaspora involvement should be constructive and support national development, not polarize internal politics.

What a disappointing Speech⁉️ I've tried very hard to stay silent on @danielkibret Daniel Kibret's recent controversial speech targeting the Ethiopian diaspora, but the more I reflect on it, the deeper my disappointment grows. Even though his remarks weren't aimed directly at me personally, they strike at the heart of what many of us in the diaspora feel and experience. First and foremost, Ethiopian diaspora members have every right to criticize the Ethiopian government—even after naturalizing in other countries—because we maintain deep, vested interests in Ethiopia's future. Our families, loved ones, and roots remain there. What happens in Ethiopia—politically, economically, or socially—affects us directly and indirectly, often profoundly. We send billions in remittances every year (with figures reportedly reaching around $7 billion in recent fiscal periods), invest in businesses, support communities, and contribute to national development in countless ways. To suggest that those who have acquired foreign citizenship forfeit their voice or stake in Ethiopia's affairs is not only dismissive but fundamentally wrong. What's especially disheartening is the apparent hypocrisy: the government eagerly courts diaspora support, investments, tourism, and knowledge transfer, yet bristles at constructive criticism or challenges from the very same community. You can't welcome our resources with open arms while shutting down our legitimate concerns or questions about governance, policy, or direction. Secondly, Daniel Kibret's statements seem to directly contradict the core principles outlined in the Prosperity Party's own manifesto and philosophy. The party has long emphasized mobilizing the diaspora as a strategic partner for national development, investment, and positive image-building—all under the guiding idea of “Medemer” (synergy or coming together). This is precisely why the government established the “Ethiopian Diaspora Service”, an official initiative led by Ambassador Fitsum Arega. Its mission is clear: to connect, empower, and support Ethiopians abroad, fostering unbreakable bonds with the homeland, enabling meaningful contributions to Ethiopia's growth, and celebrating our shared culture and heritage. So the real questions remain: Does Daniel Kibret truly understand his own party's manifesto? Has he even read it carefully? Is he aware of the dedicated government structures—like the Ethiopian Diaspora Service—built specifically to embrace and integrate diaspora voices rather than alienate them? This kind of rhetoric risks undermining the very unity and national progress the Prosperity Party claims to champion. The diaspora isn't the enemy; we're an extension of Ethiopia itself. Dismissing or threatening us only weakens the nation we all care about so deeply. It's time for more inclusive dialogue, not division. የዳንኤል ክብረት ንግግር የእልህ ወይም የብሽሽቅ ፖለቲካ ነው::
