It also reminds us that video games these days can bring powerful experiences in the human soul that no other medium of entertainment can bring.

@evyanon Lots of cinema chains are currently looking into getting TADC into theaters in germany so it‘s looking good for me. Can‘t say the same for the rest of the world though sadly..

@MortalXpert @DEEKIRIJO The last one I remember seeing in theaters but blew up after it won a bunch of awards is Poor Things, and that was 2003, and technically Taylor Swift movie is Indie because she didn’t use a publisher lmao, but that one is a freak case based on Taylor having all the money

From Iron Lung to TADC, The fact that indie creators are getting the chance to screen their films in theatres is a herculean feat in itself. This is definitely the start of something exciting for the industry and should be celebrated!

@HeartKnivez I’m torn, because I’ve seen how toxic they can be, and I’ve seen how crazy people can ruin a theatre experience (Minecraft is what comes to mind) But also yes I’m excited to be in a room with nerds like me to enjoy this super cool indie thing! (Like Iron Lung)

@evyanon @AnimatorBruce There's always the chance that even independent supporters of cinema like A24 can be come enshittified - perhaps the best possible outcome is if these companies become too corporate that their staff is able to find new pastures and produce work elsewhere.

I mean...is the goal of indie animation to eventually become corporate animation? I was hoping for a new, better kind of industry where everyday animators have a chance of making whatever they like and profit from it. Instead we're just moving toward Hollywood again...

@evyanon @jui_cyapple But this is TOUR. Like special event in some cities not just theatrical release. If glitch would’ve done this kind of staff I wouldn’t argue at all
