@ShaunQ62 @CynicalPublius I wouldn't jump and declare victory. There are still too many unanswered questions. What happened to the uranium? Iranians are still in the dark and it's unclear whether the regime will just rebuild and continue as it was.

@CynicalPublius Anyone downplaying the magnitude of this Victory & how it is reshaping the Middle East in a positive way is Un-American. Having skepticism/disagreement with foreign policy decisions is warranted, but denying objective reality while parroting our adversaries talking points isn't.

So the current line from the Democrat/Media Complex goes something like this: “Oh, so the Straits of Hormuz are open again. Big deal. So we spent all that money and killed all those people just to achieve something that was already in place before we started this.” They are acting like opening the Straits of Hormuz was our singular military objective. In reality, our objectives were to destroy Iran’s military and nuclear capabilities, eradicate the class of mullahs who were murdering their own citizens by the bushel, and eliminate the mullahs’ ability to export terror throughout the world. All objectives were achieved with only a few U.S. casualties, the world is now a vastly safer place, and as an added bonus Israel and Lebanon seem poised to finally achieve peace. This is one of the greatest military victories in world history, and the usual suspects are trying to obscure that fact by pretending our objective was something tertiary to the entire effort. Don’t fall for it. It’s a journalistic lie.

@Blue22Dave I thought a judge could give a harsher sentence than what the crown asks. Risk of deportation should not be a mitigating factor in sentencing.

ONE BRAVE ONTARIO JUDGE SAID THIS, AND IT SHOULD STOP EVERY CANADIAN IN THEIR TRACKS This came straight out of a Canadian courtroom, from an actual judge. Antonio Skarica, sitting on the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, just put the entire system on blast. He said the quiet part out loud. He called Canada’s justice system an “inflection point” and asked a question that should make every Canadian stop and think: Who are we prioritizing… the victim, or the offender? A Nigerian university student, identified in reporting as Osemeir, targeted a Canadian woman. He extorted her. He shared her intimate images. He left her living in what the judge described as “constant fear.” That’s not minor. That’s not a slap-on-the-wrist situation. That’s someone’s life being torn apart. Now here’s where it gets uncomfortable. The Crown, the prosecutors, were looking for a sentence of two years less a day. Why does that matter? Because under Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, once you hit a sentence of two years or more, it can trigger serious immigration consequences, including deportation and loss of appeal rights. So that one-day difference isn’t small. It’s everything. On the other side, the defense wasn’t even asking for jail time. They were pushing for a conditional discharge, which would have allowed him to stay in Canada. The judge saw exactly what was happening. He didn’t ignore it. He addressed it directly. He said, "If decisions are being influenced by immigration consequences, if sentences are being shaped not just by the crime, but by what might happen after, then we’re creating a system that’s no longer consistent." His words point to something bigger: A system where outcomes can start to look different depending on who’s standing in front of the court. And this isn’t just one judge speaking out. A judge in Quebec, Antoine Piché, raised the same issue, saying prosecutors are sometimes proposing lighter sentences or discharges for non-citizens specifically because of the risk of deportation. He warned that this creates what he called an “unnecessary two-tier system.” Two different tracks of justice. Not based on the crime, but based on the consequences tied to immigration status. Now before people start twisting this into something it’s not, this isn’t about ignoring rights, and it’s not about going after people because of where they’re from. This is about something much simpler. Consistency. If the same crime doesn’t lead to the same kind of outcome, people are going to notice. And when they notice, they start losing trust. Because for the victim, none of these legal layers matter. They care about one thing, did justice actually get done? And when even judges inside the system are publicly saying, “we’re at a breaking point,” that’s not something you brush off. That’s a warning. Not from me. From inside the system itself. So Wake Up Canada, we must all stand behind those who are showing us the truth in real time.

Not that you have to be a prophet or rocket scientist to get this, but I’ll go on the record to say, if indeed this deal between the US and Iran is signed, the charade will begin and it’ll only be a matter of time before the US realizes that Iran honored zero percent of the deal and played us all. The same is true for Hezbollah and Hamas of course. Their ideology does not allow for deals with infidels and to them, we are all infidels. Their ideology also officially permits to blatantly lie in order to spread Islam across the world. Don’t believe me? Google “Taqiyya”. They’ll continue to enrich uranium, fund terror across the region, maintain sleeper cells in the west, and torture their own people who oppose their genocidal regime. They’ll also continue to take over the west via their proxies. How will they do that without the US picking up on it right away? Well, keeping the internet shut down is a good start. This whole negotiation with radical Islamists is a historic mistake that’ll come back to haunt us. Israel has learned that lesson over and over for the past 80 years. Mark my words, this won’t end well.

I am a Zionist. I do not support genocide. In fact, I have spent my life educating the public on what a genocide is and how to prevent one. Accusing Israel of being genocidal is a blood libel - it’s a lie - accusing us of a genocide where a genocide does not exist. Antizionism is a sick and twisted movement that must be called out for what it is: a hate movement that is eroding many corners of American society that were once the beacon of truth and justice.

Take notice of who is quiet right now. Go look at the pages of Alex Jones, Dave Smith, Candace Owens, Ian Carroll, Megyn Kelly, Mike Flynn, and the rest of loudmouth traitors. What do you notice? Most of them haven’t even posted, and all of them are silent about the news. Trump not only secured the strait of Hormuz, he told Israel to stand down and that they are prohibited from bombing Lebanon. The whole “Trump is owned by the Jews” narrative just went up in flames, and the traitors don’t know how to respond. If it was bad news for Trump, they would have posted about it IMMEDIATELY. But when it’s good news and completely shatters their entire argument, they are quiet.

Dear Mahmoud Khalil, Like you, I have a green card. Like you, I married an American. Like you, I’m raising American-born children. But unlike you, I respect the system that let me in. Is it perfect? Far from it. Is it flawed? Yes, in many ways. Is it still one of the fairest justice systems in the world? Absolutely. I’ll take the American system over the one in Syria, where you were born. And I'll definitely take it over the Hamas system, whose massacre of Israelis you celebrated on campus. What happened to you wasn’t injustice. It was accountability. You tried to game the system. You wanted the benefits of America while promoting hatred against it. You’re not angry at the system. You’re angry you got caught. You came as a guest and acted like the landlord. Just like you did at @Columbia. That kind of stuff might work on campus, but it doesn’t work with the U.S. government. So here’s my advice to you: Wherever you try to immigrate next, start by respecting the law. Take the time to understand the culture before you lead protests for its downfall. And above all, come - and behave - like a guest. Like you, I am a guest in the U.S. Unlike you, I act like one. A grateful one. Sincerely, — Shai Davidai
Mahmoud Khalil | محمود خليل@mahmoudkhalel

The government just fired the two immigration judges who refused to deport Rümeysa Öztürk and Mohsen Mahdawi. The immigration judge who ordered my deportation—Jamee E. Comans—was promoted right after issuing her decision against me. This is why they drag us into immigration "court." It's a kangaroo court: the administration is judge, jury, and executioner. I never had faith I'd get justice there. The federal courts are the only place left where this mockery can be stopped. We'll see if they do the right thing.

Shia in the army does not mean they are loyal to Hezbollah or want it to remain armed. If I were Aoun, I would be honest with the Lebanese and tell them that Hezbollah is the aggressor that is in violation of UN resolutions, not Israel, and that the key to all solutions starts with disbanding the militia. He builds political consensus around disarming Hezbollah, including winning over Berri. That would make Hezbollah's armament untenable.

Let me save you time. Any Israeli official who watches this speech by President Aoun of Lebanon, will say this: Zeh lo holekh (Hebrew for this will not work). Why? This is how Aoun frames what's happening: Israel, the intrinsically evil state, launched an aggression on Lebanon (never mind that it was Hezbollah that started the war on Oct, 8, 2023). If the premise is incorrect, the conclusion will be equally as delusional. Aoun is willing to do what it takes, including talking to Israel (imagine! So please Lebanese Shia don't call him a traitor, as he implies) to achieve these objectives, in this order: 1. Stopping Israeli "aggression" on Lebanon 2. Israeli withdrawal 3. Return of the displaced Lebanese southerners 4. State monopolizes power (i.e. pretends Hezbollah does not exist anymore). This speech is not historic in ways that match the hype in Washington. It does not offer anything new. In fact, what Aoun proposes in this speech is less than what Hezbollah cabinet and its ally Speaker Berri signed on in November 2024: Enforcement of UNSC Resolution 1701 (disarm Hezbollah), then Israel stops policing the militia (war) and withdraws from Lebanese territory. Now Aoun is reshuffling the order, which guarantees Israel will not even bother listen to him. Lebanon is stuck. Its president, prime minister and cabinet are too weak and not talented. Hezbollah is too strong. In fact, a journalist in Hezbollah threatens Lebanese Prez and PM with death, publicly, and gets away with it. With such weak posture and useless sophistry, the Lebanese state can never overcome the Hezbollah militia with its aggressive posture toward the state (threatening that mobs would sweep government offices, force it to collapse, start a civil war, beat the state). Like I started my note above, whatever the Lebanese state and officials are doing, is not going to work. Unless they change their position and behavior, substantially, Lebanon will live in perpetual war (regardless of the U.S. - Iran track).
