@elchandler I'm not a big fan. I don't understand the idea of celebrating with explosions. I don't quite get the appeal of loud booms and high-pitched squeals and rapid pop-pop-popping -- noise for noise sake. They're neat to see on occasion but don't get the appeal.

@BranwenOShea What scares me the most is that there are so many people who celebrate the decision and all the other chaos we've seen. I question whether we all live in the same America. I have an extremely difficult time being patriotic to a country ruled by people who celebrate hate.

It feels fake to celebrate this July 4th, given the SCOTUS ruling and the fact that we’re essentially back to having a king. I don’t want to make this a negative post, but want to let anyone else feeling down today know that they’re not alone in feeling that way. 💜

Coming out of my hermitage and spending time with my best friend reminds me of how absolutely blessed I am. Friendship is something I will never take for granted.

Absolutely garbage week to be a history nerd with an anxiety disorder.

Went on a late-night insomnia-inspired deep-dive into the published works of my grad-siblings. It reminded me that I haven't written anything in a While (capitalized for emphasis). Imposter syndrome is real; I just know that nothing I write will ever be as delicious as theirs.
