This guy went to Goodwill and found a clock, so he bought it... I bet he opened it up and saw the contents before buying, so of course it was worth the $6. As he was heading to his car, a couple was persistently trying to purchase it from him for $100. They more than likely were the original owners, trying to get there few hundred bucks back.
