@Chargefox on 27/6/2025 I tried to charge at station 9878. Rang your support as charger was failing to charge car. Support said there was a protocol error. Just like to find out what the error was. As I'd like to know my car works on your network in the future

The newly appointed US Secretary of Defense runs a department with a larger annual budget than the entire Australian Govt. He’s paid AUD$403K. Our Secretary of Defence is paid AUD$961K. We need to reset our Secretaries’ salaries. #ServiceNotProfit #auspol michaelwest.com.au/lambie-fat-cat…

What a legacy of failure from successive Coalition/Labor Govts. A manufactured crisis requiring us to import gas - when we’re one of the largest gas exporters. There’s no limit to the gas cartel’s manipulation of Govts or the gouging of consumers. #auspol smh.com.au/business/consu…

At every level of government there are efforts to suppress public scrutiny and debate. Here Whyalla Council improperly threatens defamation proceedings against residents to stop reasonable criticism. A disgrace from very thin-skinned politicians! #auspol abc.net.au/news/2024-12-2…

very sad to hear of the passing of john marsden. he was one of the standout teachers through my schooling — in many ways similar to the character of john keating in dead poets society. my school hated his unorthodox methods… abc.net.au/news/2024-12-1…

Trump wins the White House. Again. The Democrats blew it. Again. A depressing yet predictable result.

Ahem. If @SBSNews was smart, they'd employ @AmyRemeikis to host a political commentary panel discussion program to air Sunday mornings at 9am. (Or any time that suited Remeikis.) With panelists from independent news media (not Seven, Nine or NewsCorp). 😏 #auspol #Insiders

Whatever happened to Mr Dutton’s belief that the markets should decide? AGL which owns 2 of the 7 proposed sites for Dutton’s nuclear reactors have refused to be involved & are instead investing billions into renewables & rapid gas & hydro firming #auspol smh.com.au/business/compa…

wow… twiggy is really serious about fully-electric mining equipment — placing a A$4bn order! fortescue has developed a fast charging solution which can charge the battery-electric @Liebherr T 264 in just 30mins. (the T 264 has a payload of 240 tonnes!) #google_vignette" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">reneweconomy.com.au/fortescue-stri…

Way beyond time to address the climate emergency, so today I introduced legislation to ban govt investments in fossil fuels, nuclear power or carbon capture & storage under the Future Made in Australia plan. Shamefully the Govt & Oppn voted against it andrewwilkie.org/2024/09/future….

.@ScoMo30 & @AlboMP didn’t do due diligence on the $368B #AUKUS scheme. But the US has been are happy to do that for us and they’ve worked out lots of ways to spend our money on their defence objectives. Australian sovereignty surrendered. #auspol johnmenadue.com/that-time-when…

Instead of subsidies for big coal the Fed Govt could boost grid reliability & slash energy costs for homes & businesses by subsidising home batteries This way cities could shoulder a much bigger share of the transition rather than leaving it to regions theguardian.com/australia-news…

what percentage of farmland is “prime farmland”? is there a map showing what’s prime and what’s… subprime? i suspect opponents of solar farm would say all farmland is prime farmland.

@Dangerouslytal @TheRealPBarry I think the retrofit and repurpose of older batteries is a very important step. Being able to repurpose those batteries should be made mandatory or rather the ability to repurpose

@TheRealPBarry I tend to not completely believe such claims until they are out in the market. That being said, how long would it take for EV manufacturers to adopt such batteries, and will they be able to be retrofitted to older EVs?

The 3 step trick: 1. Agree in a contract that all Govt-Company communication that’s marked “confidential” is confidential. 2. Mark everything confidential. 3. When project performance information is requested under FOI’d, claim releasing it would be a ‘breach of contract’.

Our Parliament passed #FOI laws with scrutiny of Govt’s $50B+ annual spend on large projects in mind, but ministers and bureaucrats are using a 3 step trick to usurp the will of the Parliament. The trick is being used to cloak Snowy 2.0 in secrecy. #auspol michaelwest.com.au/snowy-hydro-pe…
