At one point yesterday, $MNDY was up over 25% after earnings. Then Wall Street actually reviewed the numbers, and the stock finished the day up only 6%. I’ll remember this. I already exited my $NOW position at a loss, but I still believe Jensen Huang knows what he’s talking about when he says $NOW is part of the future. If the company can show real stability and prove the market wrong, I could absolutely see a 20%+ move on the next earnings report. I’ll likely look at some kind of call strategy into earnings and repeat that into perpetuity.

Last week I decided I’m never doing covered calls again on stocks I truly believe in.
All you’re doing is capping the exact thing that makes these investments special: the unimaginable upside.
As we’ve seen this century, certain companies can compound to levels that seem almost irrational, and they can do it fast.
If I’m right, I want to make a fortune. I don’t want to trade away life-changing upside for some small premium.
If I’m wrong and the stock falls, then losing 8% with a covered call instead of 10% without one changes nothing.
The real money is made by being right on the big move and actually sitting through it.
Trust the process. Trust yourself.

Do you still get excited when Michael or Tom Lee drop huge price targets? I’m totally numb to it already. I’m just selling puts and calls and buying leaps clawing and scratching trying to manufacture the win with these two tickers.
But I don’t even listen to what they say anymore. I’m just in my own little options world.

You can now buy companies with insane growth, real revenues, real cash flow, real products, and still get massive upside.
Bitcoin worked when there were barely any true asymmetric opportunities in the market. That environment changed.

And right now, AI looks like the new home for speculative capital.

I increased my China exposure in my portfolio to 40% via stock and options. I don’t think a very good outcome is currently priced in. And if nothing happens, we stay where we are. I don’t think Trump brought his dream team to China just to tell them to go fuck themselves.

I have made some Tastytrade trades in the last few months
Mostly to access portfolio margin
But…
You have to watch out for over leveraging
Especially if you are not comfortable with margin
Example:
This $SPY short put with 4/30 expiration and $525 strike
Full cash amount needed would be $52,500
With portfolio margin?
Only about $2,500
Yes you are most likely to pocket the premium…
$SPY would need to drop by 20% in less than a month for you to get this assigned to you
But using 21 times leverage of the required cash is NOT for the faint of heart
