@duolingo Hi. Is there a way to gift my son gems or a streak repair remotely? He’s away at scout camp and lost a long streak. Thanks

@MrBeast I love this social philanthropy. Think what this could do for communities.

@BBCNews where is your “explainer” as to what constitutes a “junior doctor”. Surely you have some responsibility for clear, factual messaging to the public. 80% of my ED medical colleagues fall under this term on each shift. Massive impact on staffing and safety. Choose wisely.

Clinicians, EMT, SAR, MEDICS, CFRS, RESPONDERS. my post on non technicals was an interesting response from everyone, thanks. Next question: What are your personal wind down techniques after a traumatic incident. What's your go-to comfort?

@EmergMedDr @AdaptLaw My best moment of the week discharging a 99 year old from the ED . Let’s lose the narrative that hospitals are safe places.

Not remotely surprised by this. My pensioner mother was sent home from hospital at 11pm. No one at the hospital batted an eyelid. Normal procedure, it seems. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan…

Already co-located with a UCC, no “minors patients” attend ED 16/24. Cohorting “ambulance” patients in ED to release crews to answer 999 calls. Working with community social care to increase bed base for the medical fit stranded in the acute care system. What next?

Last night’s on call in numbers: 107 patients, 59 physical spaces, 62 patients waiting to go to wards. 75 hr longest wait to get to a ward. 6 Major Traumas, 3 ventilated patients. 1 ED Consultant with 1 question “How would you keep this safe?”

@DrRgoldi @TheBMA Apparently HEENW are now applying £250 cap per course. As far as I can tell that rules out ALS/ePALS/APLS/ATLS/ETC on my patch (although 1 day NLS just sneaks under the wire).

Anyone else fairly fed up with giving NHS trusts/HEE an interest free loan that it's a fight to get back every time you think about doing a course? It doesn't work like this in other industries. Perhaps something to take on after full pay restoration is done @TheBMA
