In January 2022, I was involved in a car accident that changed how I see life forever.
Ambulance. Hospital. Severe chest pain.
X-rays said I was fine. Sent home with painkillers.
But something didn’t feel right.
Two days later, pain still there.
Day 4, I pushed for a second opinion.
CT scan done.
A few days later, my doctor called.
“No internal injuries, but we found a lesion on your right kidney.”
That word lesion froze my world.
Google didn’t help. My mind went from fear to deeper fear.
More scans. Contrast CT.
Result: 3.7 × 4.5 cm tumour.
Three months later, I had a radical nephrectomy.
Yes dignity disappears fast in hospital. Nurse were playing with my organ of pride and was walking around with a catheter🤗And you realise something powerful.
Life matters more than pride.
Final results;
The tumour was benign.
But the kidney had to go. tumour was almost golf-ball size.
Today 3+ years later, I’m healthy and grateful.
And I celebrate small wins loudly.
Because when you’ve faced the possibility of losing everything, you learn that;
Small victories are not small.
Gratitude is not weakness.
Sharing joy is not bragging.
So when people hate on me or anyone for sharing my journey, my growth, or my gratitude, I don’t get angry.
I just wonder;
How heavy must life feel when someone else’s survival and progress bothers you?
I will keep celebrating life.
I will keep honouring the people who stood with me.
And I will keep telling my story because someone out there needs hope.
Life is fragile.
Celebrate yours and stop the jealous and hate.
