For Njeri to suddenly isolate the SGR extension to Malaba as a “burden” is to ignore this long-standing principle of shared national investment. Infrastructure is not a local luxury, it is a national catalyst. 6. Equity is a national value and fairness in the distribution of resources is a constitutional demand. 7. What does equitable development mean in practice? It means extending infrastructure to historically underserved regions, like Western Kenya and the Malaba corridor, to integrate them into national and regional trade networks. 8. The SGR extension is not charity; it is a constitutional obligation to balance development and expand opportunity.
