See there’s the problem, psykers are part of the tithe, and part of the basic contract every planet has with the imperium: 1) pay your taxes (resources, guardsmen (sometimes), unsanctioned psykers) 2) no mutants, no xenos, no chaos < Cyrene also broke this rule 3) have someone accountable (planetary governor) to get executed when rule 1 or 2 gets broken.

@Rimmy_Downunder It would be the planet of Cyrene from the Dawn of war games, through its been a fair minute since I last read the short story. They were Loyal to the imperium and still giving tithes, they just decided to move to a democracy and stopped executing pyskers.

The Imperium is feudal in nature. Any galaxy wide human empire basically has to be in 40k because there is no easy and reliable FTL comms nor is warp travel guaranteed Pay your tithe and worship the Emperor (in your own way) and the Imperium won't care how you pick your Governor

@ETJY @Ganglosaxonnne Objective was to prevent the opfor from launching boats or missles into the strait. That means eliminating any naval support/launch sites along the coast. Also this is class C tech, leopard’s sensors while flying overhead are good enough to detect anything relevant.

@ABlowjob58457 @Trap_2023 SW mentioned in the 4.0 story quest that when the Stellaron Hunters need money they turn one of their members in to collect the bounty then break them out a few days later. The comic is them rock paper scissors to see who’s going to get turned in this time.

@highelven Actually based on recent lore details, Infestation MAY be alien life. Roathe says that Orokin found and weaponized them before they even understood what they are. Also Nokko's lore reveals that Venus mushrooms may be ancient, even predating Orokin. May have ties to Infestation.

I can confirm at least one has, he was there for Mercury, Apollo and part of the Shuttle period. He didn’t like it, thought it was unrealistic. He said that instead of an all female publicity stunt they would have greenlit a fleet of Orions to ensure the USSR could not have cislunar dominance. It was specifically the PR stunt aspect that stuck in his craw. You wouldn’t answer a peer threat gaining the high ground in a possible thermonuclear standoff with anything less than hard deterrence. He’s of the opinion that we would have been colonizing the Jovians by now if we had built the Orions. Also that the cost of an arms race in space would have collapsed the soviets faster than in our timeline.

It’s real and actually a good business strategy. They offer a liscense for a small part of the universe like a single faction or planet for cheap to just about any developer. If it sucks everyone forgets about it in a month, if it’s great they make a cut of every sale. It’s called a “shotgun licensing” strategy and GW was the case study in my MBA classes for it.

@MeloettaMr @TKsMantis Not anymore, it was changed to the Harry Reid airport in 2021. The man/ his political machine basically ran the state of Nevada so when he kicked it in 2021 they immediately changed the name of the biggest airport in his honor.

I am very happy that they didn't change the name of Camp McCarran. I understand why Vegas changed the name of the airport in real life, but I am glad it wasn't changed in the Fallout show because that is what we know it as.

Doubtful given what we know. Barb is at least senior management given she’s directly interfacing with C suites for other companies, heck she might be junior C suite herself. At that level we’ve seen Vault Tec employees not only get to take their entire family but also get their own Vaults to run as they see fit (including if/what experiment is being run). Hell, Hugo Stolz got to bring his daughter’s openly communist girlfriend into Vault 63 no questions asked. Movie star Cooper Howard, the guy on the promotional material, wouldn’t even be a question. Now the question is, did she go into a control vault, like 3, 8, 17 or 76 or did she go to Vault 0?

The Tau leadership basically soul-killered one of their best generals so his abilities can be replanted into other commanders brains and when it became a detriment after they ran into imperial psykers, they mandatorily pulled it out of their brains which ended up lobotomizing most of them and then covered it up. Like they're straight up if Arasaka had a space empire.
