@drewexmachina Snyder ruined DC and Superman by making everything realistic, dark and serious. Another evil God like Injustice. Gunn is embracing the colors, the fantasy and the weirdness of the comics to adapt Superman as a symbol of hope that inspires humanity without being ashamed of that.

In hindsight, should've just kept Snyder's thing going. Yeah it was niche and not for everyone, but at least there was a focused creative vision that stood in opposition to the norm, a nice alternative to the MCU. Given the way cape shit is heading, a smaller dedicated audience is better than aiming for everyone and falling flat on your face.

Supergirl is biologically older than Superman but looks younger. She left first but arrived late. She was supposed to protect him. Instead she landed on a planet where her baby cousin was already a god. DC broke my heart with this detail and never apologized. 😭
