Restore could really learn some expectation management. At the start of the campaign, if you told anyone they would poll at 8% - they’d be impressed. However, because they spent the last few weeks touting double digit figures, it makes it look like a fat disappointment. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Restore’s Makerfield campaign was ‘unpleasant’ and 'all about’ leader Rupert Lowe.

My optimistic take on Makerfield is this: The Patriotic Right can win the 2029 general election provided there is just one patriotic party and just one patriotic leader. On this basis, @Nigel_Farage must stand down and allow @RupertLowe10 to Unite the Right.

Cherry picking? Reform has lost two high profile by-elections that you guys were supposed to win now in a row. Reforms polling has stagnated and has now consistently dipped below it's peak of 30%. Kemi now ranks as the most popular leader in Britain, outranking both Burnham and Farage. Last night, the tories won more than Reform. The tide is turning. The level of coping is hilarious 😂

Day 1 of Burnham in Parliament: the pound has slumped, and interest on Government debt has shot up. This is going to be a rough ride.

Lowe claims he doesn’t know why he was kicked out of Reform…. Hmmmmm…. Maybe going to a national newspaper unilaterally and slagging off your leader might have had something to do with it. He seems to have conveniently forgotten that as have his fans.

A vote share in the “low 20s” seemed “reasonable” for Restore, according to their chief propaganda outlet. You can’t be spinning under 7% as a success after this. We have the receipts!

@KEdge23 But Reform can make sure Labour win a G.E. 2029 by splitting the vote again like in 2024.

Reform can’t win a general election. The Conservatives under Kemi Badenoch’s leadership can. As I’ve said all along, it’s a marathon, not a sprint. Reform peaked last year. It’s all downhill from here for them. The Tory gains in Essex and Aberdeen South is just the beginning.

@KEdge23 You're joking! The conservatives will never be in power again. What don't you understand about this?

@redelitist @AmaarShahzada @RobertJenrick So what? Conservatives are cherry picking results and getting excited about the fact they'll never be in power again. You won a few battles, but you've long ago lost the war.

@kennedy2324 @L_Wastell That's not my job. The audacity of people who know they are wrong to fall back on the "fill in my knowledge gap" trope is tiring. You're wrong, Rupert attacked first, and sealed his fate. You're replying to the OP who already stated this. Facts are not up for debate.

Date, time, proof please? I know why you use an anonymous account now. Heaven forbid anyone knowing you when you’re so stupid. Just because you say it, doesn’t make it true. You have no idea who “attacked” who. It’s all hearsay. The only “fact we know for sure is that Farage, via Lee Anderson removed the whip.

@AndreaRobertso @Yakamaru89 @Kingbingo_ That's a lie, it's being going much longer then that. That's just the point in time it formally registered. But rest assured, it's the end of the party as standing a chance of any electoral significance. It's over.

We didn't win our 1st election - fair enough. But a hell of a result for a 180 day old! Farage took 10yrs, 5 byelection to get 3rd. We did it in 4 months. Took him 18 more yrs to win a seat. Restore is growing like a tech startup - only faster.

Remarkable victory for the Tories in Aberdeen South, beating SNP 50% to 29% — as resounding as Burnham in Makerfield. But it’s not replicable for the Tories on a national scale — and before the year is out Labour will discover that neither is Makerfield.

A lot of work needs to be done 7% is not in itself a bad result but 7% after 18%+ people were saying they were going to vote for us on the door is worrying You can make the excuse of Reform UK using fear to steal these people’s votes but we knew they were going to do this
