It’s a damn sight better than “can you make it all sul ponticello”. Purple I would take as something rich, with something a little unusual. Maybe an unexpected texture in there… also a hint of warmth. Sad but with hope I would keep it in a minor key but use chord progressions that ascend. If you need to go up a “hope gear” I’d add a simple rhythmic element.

Question of the week: When working with a director, how do you handle feedback like, “Make it more purple” or “It needs to sound like sadness… but with hope”?

@gavinleeper Nah, the TOTK OST didn’t come with that unfortunately. It came with the booklet that contains the track list and that additional master sword USB. I really wish it did though :( I do have the BOTW limited edition OST if you’re interested in seeing the interviews from that!
