@LoafPod Kick out strategy is not working, we have no platform off it
English

Cannot believe that... So many strong brilliant players in that Westmeath team and good future stars too but that is a damaging loss to end 2025 on. Not sure where we go now. Hopefully most of that team stays next season.
Fortress Aughrim strikes again....

@gaagrinch @savod @westmeath_gaa Butchered is right. Brandon Kelly off the post was a killer too. Would have liked to see Robbie and Kieran on. They must be injured
English

@gefdes @savod @westmeath_gaa Yeah, their 9,10 and 11 were top performers. We also butchered at least 2 and possibly 3 goals in second half.

Ronan Wallace blocked from a solo and go by Kildare in the middle. Gough told him to go back instead of moving it forward
No black card for the foul by Kildare near the end
Then the clean catch not given as a mark.. Throws ball in. Kildare score
Decisions cost teams

@offtheball @westmeath_gaa @TomasORuanaidh What a performance by Luke again tonight, brilliant interview too. For a team that lost so many players from last year, they have fought hard and have been very unlucky.
English

🗣️ 'It'll be tough tonight, but we're going just have to dust ourselves off!'
🗣️ 'I was brought to tears there at the end!'

@SmallerFishGAA We didn’t get any luck plus the fact there has been a huge turnover of players, approx 10 players from last year. Played some great spells of football in most games
English

@DavieJCee @BankOnthe @Colm_McC @TomasORuanaidh @CahairOKane1 They have been brilliant every game. You couldn’t ask for more. Surely our luck will turn.
English

@gefdes @BankOnthe @Colm_McC @TomasORuanaidh @CahairOKane1 Amen! Genuinely couldn’t be more supportive of team that goes out on their shield like that. Every week putting in an unbelievable effort.
English

Westmeaths league campaign needs a documentary.
Heartbreaking for them (again)
McCabe/McHugh have got way more out of them than anyone expected, considering the players they're missing from last year.

English

@Colm_McC @DavieJCee @TomasORuanaidh @CahairOKane1 The management team could do with a few days RnR somewhere.
English

@LoafPod Oh definitely a lot to look forward to with this team. Be great to survive in div 2
English

@gefdes They're building well and to be fair to Dermot after he acknowledged small things weren't working and needed changing. I'm very optimistic about how it's all going. It's 3 defeats but most would have written us off as the whipping boys after the lads leaving. Luck will turn
English

@willocallaghan Has he potential to become a top forward like heslin or Dolan. Here’s hoping👌
English

@jimmymcquaid @westmeath_gaa Oh brilliant mark Mchugh is a big bonus👌👌
English

@TheJMacPodcast @westmeath_gaa Hopefully he can encourage older players to give it another year. Seems there might be a big turnover in the panel.
English

Former Cavan All Star, Dermot McCabe is in line to become the next manager of the @westmeath_gaa Senior Footballers. Dermot has quite the impressive CV built up & would be the right candidate for the job I'd feel. #GAA

English

@gefdes I think he’s very much the candidate now. Anglo-Celt and Irish Independent both reporting the same now this evening.
Previously part of Mickey Graham’s Cavan management team and has won a couple of Cavan titles with Gowna in recent seasons.
English

@jimmymcquaid @willocallaghan That’s an interesting one, there must not be much interest in the job
English

@conormckenna98 Massive loss , what a player. We are going into a big transition. Any word on potential manager. Keane looks the most likely
