This week a new self-serve petrol station called Roo Petroleum opened in Lavington, NSW. This lets you fuel up and pay 24/7 without needing to go in store and buying crap you don't need. They use the US model of paying before getting fuel. Facebook comments are filled with people complaining the unmanned nature of this has put someone out of a job. To me this is a weird take, if a new station opens and leverages technology to perform a task and provide the core service without requiring humans, nobody lost their job, they just didn't need to hire people. Thoughts?

@ryanjaycowan @mars_play Not true, PW3 can be AC coupled to an existing inverter. However I just warranty-upgraded my PW2 to PW3+expansion and did exactly as you suggest, decommissioning my Fronius 5kW inverter in favour of using the PW3 solar inverter since I opted to expand solar at the same time

@mars_play Good question. PW3 is best for new projects imo, rather than exisiting homes with solar + inverter. Why? Because PW3 has inverter built in, so you would need to decommission your old inverter. However to be clear, there is still work arounds.

Unexpected, but now with x2 Powerwalls I've actually started to charge the car for a couple of hours each night at 32amps. Why? Because the car isn't always home during peak solar, the batteries are.

Oh no, @Tesla is shutting down the Tesla Energy Plan in Australia on Sep 30. They don’t say what’s happening to the 5 year extended warranty that’s part of the plan 🤔 would be pissed if that just disappears since it “costed” me to be part of this plan. @teslaenergy @TeslaAUNZ
