Just another way to look at the team. They are built around pitching and defense, which typically lends itself to close games. However, they are playing more often in blowouts than close games.

Where did this thing all go wrong? Tony Vitello is one of my favorite people on the planet. Buster Posey is my favorite player ever. Nobody wants to root against them and see them lose. A super sad and depressing situation all around.

The #SFGiants are a big market franchise that invested a lot of money in their roster to compete in the present— granted, not as much as some say they should’ve. They entered 2026 as playoff contenders. It may not look like it, but they’re very much in win-now mode.

Fun fact: the #SFGiants got scared of signing pitchers to big deals after Zito, Cain, Cueto, and Shark which is why they refuse to compete for elite arms now. After Devers, Adames, and Chapman’s deals, they’ll be terrified of signing anyone at all. Hope the farm comes thru!
