Square Enix says it could make more traditional turn-based Final Fantasy remakes if that’s what fans want. At a recent shareholders meeting, the company was asked if it would consider remakes closer to the originals, with updated graphics and turn-based combat, instead of the action-focused style of the Final Fantasy VII Remake series. Square Enix said it will keep making games that “truly resonate” with players. They also will pay attention to fan response to Final Fantasy Resonance, which has the classic turn-based gameplay and HD-2D graphics. For now, Square Enix will keep listening to player feedback before deciding the direction of future Final Fantasy remakes.

@CherryCharIotte If only there was a way I can migrate my 400+ game Steam library to a Switch. That's where Android handhelds and even high-end Android phones are more attractive.

yknow theres another handheld device that can play a good chunk of the steam deck's library that costs way less 👀

@SynthPotato Android handhelds like the Odin 3 are still sub-$400 and Steam emulation continues to improve. Indie games will make gaming affordable still and plenty of good titles run well on low-end 6-core laptops.

950$ for a Steam Deck 900$ for a PS5 Pro 650$ for an Xbox Series X 600$ for a PS5 500$ for a Switch 2 Gaming has become unaffordable, this literally can't be sustainable.
