@godmodcs @simonfalke_ @CounterStrike No, the revenue from CS2 is not even close to how much money Valve is making from Steam. Valve would delete Counter-Strike out of the existance right now rather than stop supporting SteamOS and all of their gaming device: Steam Deck, Steam Machine, SteamVR,...

@odShotChannel @simonfalke_ @CounterStrike I read it, and my opinion remains. Valve decisions are not all correct, and it's up to the community to call out whenever we feel like something should be done diferently, because we are the ones who actually play the game and pay their bills.

@simonfalke_ @odShotChannel @CounterStrike Only now CS2 is in a state that should be released, even though the anti-cheat is still very underwelming if you compare it to market standards.

@simonfalke_ @odShotChannel @CounterStrike It seems "me wanting it" it's also most of the community wanting it. Valve has been focusing on monetisation for most of the recent years it's crazy.

@odShotChannel @CounterStrike Rather install a kernel anti-cheat than playing ranked games vs cheaters. Riot did it.

Can't believe this is a real thing in 2026, but I guess that's also why I only play premier for the drops and armory
