A truly deep and meaningful conversation requires focus, concentration, and commitment. Don't think or pretend that you can do it spontaneously or with distractions around you.

If you're operating from a place of good intention do not hesitate to act. If you see a problem, fix it. If you can help out, step up. And if you have a word of encouragement, share it. There is no reason or excuse for doing otherwise.

Don't take your own knowledge, expertise, or skills for granted. If it seems obvious or easy to you it’s only because you've spent the time to master it. Honor what you know and share it with others who long to know it as well.

Don't let the minutia of life build up. Clean out the closet, empty the inbox, check off the nagging task you’ve been putting off. They’re distracting you from more important things and they won't just magically go away on their own.
