@TrevonC15 @CanoneroKid @thedawgspodcast @typic4lbrownfan Mason showed more than small glimpses. Already a good player. Have to hope he turns into a true difference maker though. Should have picked Membou or Tet imo but he’s still a very good player. I like Sampson more than most. DG pick was atrocious. I was flabbergasted at the pick
English

@grimsleysbat @CanoneroKid @thedawgspodcast @typic4lbrownfan I did forget about fannin. Getting graham at 5 and only seeing small glimpses sucks. BUT the ceiling is still there. Sampson, sanders, Gabriel and I think you throw graham in there are TBD imo.
English

@TrevonC15 @CanoneroKid @thedawgspodcast @typic4lbrownfan Fannin was an excellent pick and Graham was a solid pick.
English

@CanoneroKid @thedawgspodcast @typic4lbrownfan Even after this past draft which I believe wasn’t the best outside of Carson and quinshon, berry has been very poor at evaluating players so strap in.

One Battle After Another is currently 4th on my PTA: Ranked list behind There Will Be Blood, Boogie Nights & Magnolia. But starting to wonder if it’s time to move PTA’s only Oscar winner up to at least #2. Curious where you guys have OBAA ranked relative to Boogie Nights.

@Picklemaddierix @suzyputrid His cover of She Came in Through the Bathroom Window is phenomenal as well.
English

@suzyputrid i can't think of any obscure answers but someone's gotta mention joe cocker's with a little help from my friends
English

@benfowlkesMMA Bruce’s music definitely sucks but Kid Rock’s music is much, much worse.
English

@newheightshow @JasonKelce @tkelce @TheMasters The Dinner Rolls from Donna Kelce's recipe and the key lime pie in honor of Ed Kelce are the only things I'd keep, LOL. Why did NEITHER of them include Skyline Chili if they're such Cincinnati boys?
English

@TolvanSkull @SandyofCthulhu I think a good bit of food is about nostalgia and emotions tbh
English

@grimsleysbat @SandyofCthulhu Best philly i ever had was in a hospital cafeteria (not lying it was legitimately good). But getting a little bit of comfort food during a stressful time probably made it taste even better.

My friend Paul and I have an ongoing debate over whether the greatest sandwich in the world is the Philly Cheesesteak or the Reuben. I hold out for the Reuben. However, I will say that whoever wins the argument, we all kind of win.
Food Pleaser@FoodPleaser
Reuben sandwich… are you a fan or no?
English

@TolvanSkull @SandyofCthulhu Haha I like a Philly! Angelos in Philly is the best I’ve had. I just think a great sandwich has balance. Like a banh mi or Italian sub!
English

@grimsleysbat @SandyofCthulhu lol, does it solve the problem if you save half for later or is your mind made up?
English

@da_asmodai @SandyofCthulhu Provolone is the worst choice for a Philly while also being the best quality cheese of the three. The amalgamation of gooeyness is what makes a Philly good.
English

@SandyofCthulhu You are correct sir, the Reuben is the best... and a cheesesteak should have provolone, not cheeze wiz or American.
English

@TolvanSkull @SandyofCthulhu A perfect Philly is good but a truly great sandwich requires balance. A Philly is gluttonous and just fat and salt. It’s drunk food tbh
English

@SandyofCthulhu I dunno man, if you choose the Reuben over the Philly I feel like you haven't had a perfect Philly yet.

@WackoJackosflix After Hours has an argument with a couple of his movies. Gangs of NY is worse than anything PTA has made, for sure.
English

You think After Hours or Gangs Of New York are better than the likes of Phantom Thread or Magnolia?

@alexjohnward @EyeOnStalk @newstart_2024 Metabolism, genetics etc definitely play a role in it. No doubt. I have always gained fat and muscle with ease. Shedding has always been more difficult.
English

Bill Maher and Joe Rogan went hard on Ozempic and the idea that obesity is now officially a “disease” we can’t control.
Maher’s take was sharp: just a few years ago, the consensus was that diet and exercise could handle it. Now the narrative has flipped completely — it’s a disease, you’re helpless, and the only answer is lifelong injections. The New York Times and mainstream outlets are all in, with almost zero dissent.
Rogan pointed out the ugly reality: people on these drugs often lose a ton of muscle and connective tissue, not just fat. One study from Peter Attia’s patients showed that even after dropping 20 pounds, their body fat percentage actually went up because they were mostly losing lean mass.
Both of them pushed back on the “no free lunch” idea. These drugs come with real side effects (serious GI issues for some), and the food industry has spent decades engineering ultra-addictive products loaded with sugar, fat, and salt.
Maher’s best line: Cake was delicious in 1969 too — yet somehow people used to resist it.
It’s a refreshing conversation about personal responsibility versus handing everything over to pharmaceuticals and calling it inevitable.
Anyone else uneasy about how quickly “just eat less and move more” got replaced by “it’s a disease, take the shot”?
English

@EyeOnStalk @newstart_2024 I was jc. I think genetics play a big role in it but everyone has the ability to keep it under control. Everyone’s struggle is different. Again, I’m not anti ozempic and I think it’s especially great for extremely obese people. I’m not sure about long term side effects tbh
English

@grimsleysbat @newstart_2024 I didn’t mention genetics.
You PREVENT getting fat with diet, exercise, etc. But once you’ve been fat for awhile, your hormones adjust and it becomes impossible to permanently lose weight without feeling hungry all the time. Hence the drugs.
English

@CinemaTweets1 The remix is never as good as the originally. Respectfully, this is a crazy take.
English

@EyeOnStalk @newstart_2024 So, you’re saying being overweight is just genetic and not about bad habits?
English

@grimsleysbat @newstart_2024 The number of people who have permanently lost more than a small amount of weight without drugs or bariatric surgery is a rounding error. They eat less than a thin person would, and exercise more. They make it their lives.
English

@EyeOnStalk @newstart_2024 I mean, it’s definitely the easy button for weight loss. Instead of hard work and discipline, you use a drug. I’m not even saying that’s wrong but it’s reality. I think it’s a great tool, especially for severely obese people.
English

@newstart_2024 It’s stupid, anti-science, and Puritanism.
People don’t lose any more muscle if they take a GLP1 vs if they don’t. Rogan wishes that were true, because it feeds his narrative of bad, lazy, people taking the “easy way out.” And it’s not about cake. It’s about hunger.
English

@grimsleysbat @FitWealthyU But that wasnt what you was talking about 🤣 you said one day can ruin a week worth of progress and that is far from the truth
English

If your goal is weight loss, those two days of eating junk can easily negate five days of eating clean.
Lorenzo Hall@renzoinvest
@FitWealthyU You can eat clean 5 out of 7 days and you’ll be alright
