🚨 Fuel Update: Govt is suspending taxes on diesel to limit the size of the next price hike. But there’s no relief for petrol users.
Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube says: “These taxes (on diesel) collectively amount to USD 0.54 per litre, representing a significant proportion of the retail price of diesel, a critical input in agriculture, mining, manufacturing, and logistics, which would have gone
up to USD2.65 per litre”.
April fuel prices are due to be released shortly.

newZWire@newswireZW
Impact of fuel taxes on what you pay at the pump: Out of the $2.17 you pay for a litre of diesel, nearly 86 cents goes to various government taxes. These taxes make up 42 cents of the $2.05 drivers pay for a litre of petrol. While government says Zim has about three months of fuel reserves bought at earlier prices, ZERA sets prices based on current costs so that suppliers can continue importing without making losses

@CrimeWatchZW @CityParkingHre Funny thing they are saying they do not know about the change
English

A driver says he was charged $1 to park his Mazda Axela by @CityParkingHre, even though the government announced that parking fees were reduced to $0.50.
He believes that City Parking is delaying the new price on purpose. He argues that if the fee had been increased to $2, the change would have been made immediately. But because the price was reduced to $0.50, he feels they are taking their time so they can continue charging motorists more money.

Great initiative by #GreatmanMusic. RETWEET and help him reach as many people as possible!
You know what, my people? A retweet costs you nothing. And when you see somebody who is disabled, like Great Man, pushing this initiative, it should shame us who are able-bodied that we are not able to assist those who are disabled.
The least we can do is to RETWEET so that those who have the heart to help can actually support this cause.
So I ask you again, please RETWEET this initiative that Great Man, who is disabled, has started to assist people like him who are disabled.
It costs you nothing at all as a Zimbabwean or an African to simply RETWEET, or as any other nationality.

@JMafume @CrimeWatchZW While on that @JMafume I think there is need for readjustment of road signage and markings in the CBD. @PoliceZimbabwe Is feasting out of intersections like the one facing Zimpost along G Silundika, all the roads facing towards Kaguvi. Most signs are invisible when cars are parked

@CrimeWatchZW We will assist. It must be clear to motorists and everyone alike that a city is just a set of rules and those have to be obeyed. We all have reasons to break the rules most are on the face of it reasonable.

Yesterday, municipal officers in Harare CBD gave me a ticket for dropping someone at the Charge Office. They accused me of being a mushika-shika operator. I was fined US$172 plus US$11 for storage.
What hurts most is that I was dropping off my grandmother, who uses crutches. I stopped there because I wanted to get her as close as possible to the doctor’s offices. It took longer than expected since she needed help getting out of the car.
When the municipal officers came, they didn’t even listen or try to understand the situation. They just wrote the ticket and claimed I was a mushika-shika without any proof. Now my car has been impounded and is being held at the City Council Central Stores on Coventry Road.
Are we really becoming this heartless as a nation?
@JMafume please assist🙏

As Minister of ICT, I certified 195 digital skills graduates in Hwedza South and we again launched a free WiFi zone at St. Anne’s Goto School under the President Internet Scheme program implementation.
We have empowered youth with digital skills training using our Digi truck. The wifi hotspot will enhance education and access to connectivity in our rural areas.
We showcased our digital access solutions to the Kenyan MPs who were invited by Hon Machakaire.
There was also a graduation ceremony of 500 graduates on a skills development programme which the Ministry of Youth Empowerment has partnered with Tonganyika Trust. This was a great event. Happy Sunday.
