This is stupid. I can’t tell you how many times I took opportunities during training events to “show the flag.” Not only doesn’t it cost the government anything, it’s a morale boost for our crews and the spectators. It’s America, for God’s sake!

@HousingWire The article talks about the MLS only reflects SOLD listings.... One thing they don't mention: a fair amount of listings are SOLD off the MLS and only put into the MLS after they SELL.... Hence, inflating the percentage even more.

Don't believe the 94% quoted as sold on the MLS.
Listed and pulled or SOLD off MLS and then put into the MLS afterwards.
Inflating numbers in the industry is typical.
Again showing they are NOT consumer oriented.
The industry needs to work for Consumers.

There is no way they spend $500 on 20 days of takeout a month in Manhattan to feed 2 adults and a child ($25/meal) ... not happening. Their favorite restaurant cheapest entree is $24, plus delivery fees... So dumb.

This is getting some unfair dunking. The article isn’t asking “How can they possible survive????” It’s just asking, “What are their lives like?” And then it tells us. Nowhere in the article does the article pretend they’re struggling. They have to make some budget choices in order to save 10k a month, but that’s just them showing common sense. That they call themselves “middle class” is a stretch. I’d call them upper-middle. If they keep saving 10k a month, they can start moving into upper class in a decade or so.

$4,200 for daycare
$500 on eating out
$150 on laundry services
$370 on doggie daycare/grooming
These people are thriving and not typical of UWS.
It’s like New Yorkers voted for Mamdani because they wanted to make life hard.
