Someone posted this on Facebook...so true! Tax his land, Tax his bed, Tax the table At which he's fed. Tax his work, Tax his pay, He works for peanuts Anyway! Tax his cow, Tax his goat, Tax his pants, Tax his coat. Tax his tobacco, Tax his drink, Tax him if he Tries to think. Tax his car, Tax his gas, Find other ways To tax his ass. Tax all he has Then let him know That you won't be done Till he has no dough. When he screams and hollers; Then tax him some more, Tax him till He's good and sore. Then tax his coffin, Tax his grave, Tax the sod in Which he's laid. When he's gone, Do not relax, It's time to apply The inheritance tax. Accounts Receivable Tax Airline surcharge tax Airline Fuel Tax Airport Maintenance Tax Building Permit Tax Cigarette Tax Cooking Tax Corporate Income Tax Goods and Services Tax (GST) Death Tax Driving Permit Tax Environmental Tax (Fee) Excise Taxes Income Tax Fishing License Tax Food License Tax Petrol Tax (too much per litre) Gross Receipts Tax Health Tax Heating Tax Inheritance Tax Interest Tax Lighting Tax Liquor Tax Luxury Taxes Marriage License Tax Mortgage Tax Pension Tax Personal Income Tax Property Tax Poverty Tax Real Estate Tax Retail Sales Tax Service Charge Tax Telephone Tax Value Added Tax Vehicle License Registration Tax Vehicle Sales Tax Water Tax Tax (VAT) on Tax. And Now they want a blooming Carbon Tax! STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY? Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was one of the most prosperous in the world... We had absolutely no national debt, had a large middle class,a huge manufacturing base, and Mum stayed home to raise the kids. What in the happened? Could it be the lying parasitic politicians wasting our money? Oh, and don't forget the relatively new bank charges.... And we all know what we think of Bankers. I hope this goes around the UK at least 1,000,000,000 times!!! YOU can help it get there!

In my view the problem with your argument here is that it is essentially progressive and doesn't respect the moral legitimacy of us as us. Who cares if we did live in the stone age? Would we be good people or not? Technological progress has shown that it is not tied to moral standards, and may even be a negative force which erodes morality by subverting the natural laws that provided firm boundaries for moral vs immoral conduct. We are not good or bad people because of the technology we possess, and our ancestors were not immoral or less worthy for being less advanced than us. It seems that if an alien race turned up, they could use your line of reasoning to justify wiping us out. We've been here 100,000 years and still don't have interstellar technology! Savages! Utilitarianism isn't a moral standard and the right should abandon it immediately, because it presupposes too much and fails to admit of any kind of transcendent metaphysics which might inform a proper, traditional kind of morality. It also commits us to the path of the left, ensuring that in 50 years time, we'll be saying that, ackshually, the cyber-Leninists are the real transphobes. Put simply, there is much more to morality than harm reduction, but this is all this materialistic analysis can appeal to: "we have material things". The left will certainly win any argument you make on these grounds as they are prepared to jettison reality entirely and play fantasy trump cards over your positions. "Well, I just think that we have the most consumer goods, capitalism good," will be responded to with "yes but there are poor people, so capitalism insufficient" and you will be forced to agree that it is and they will have to just work harder, earn more, etc. Suddenly, we are not talking about morality at all and the left can conjure up a mythical future circumstance in which everyone has all good things and render you the immoral one for not wanting it. You are already committed to progress, why not to progress+1? Bigot! This is not morality and should not inform a set of ethics. What should be done should be done and what should not be done should not be done regardless of the material benefits. If it meant that we would lose all our technology to save a million children from death, then we should do it. That would be the right thing to do, and we would be morally validated not by things that could be taken away from us, but by acts that would be eternally ours and always admirable. The left's "decolonising" propaganda is explicitly racial, so we should acknowledge and reject it in those terms: no race should be removed, violently or not, from the lands they occupy, and to attempt to do so is an act of war in which the targets have the right of self defence, as everyone does. It is just a thin cover to hide their genocidal tendencies, so we should treat it as such and consider them the moral abominations that they are.
Matt Walsh@MattWalshBlog

Colonization has largely been a civilizing force in the world. A force for good. Most of the world would still be living in the Stone Age without it. Don’t buy into the leftist “decolonizing” propaganda.

During colonisation, the colonised were right to fight back, to defend their culture. What happened is that they lost to a more powerful entity. In that respect it’s not a question of whether or not it was right that the more powerful entity did that, it’s that they could and had nothing to do with race or culture. However, what’s happening now, is that we largely are not fighting back and are being told we shouldn’t because our ancestors colonised others. It’s a cheap manipulative trick “you did it to them, so they can do it to you, so shut up and let it happen”. What they’re not telling you, is that the other cultures fought back, where we aren’t fighting back. And they don’t want you to fight back because all they have against us, is our own false sense of institutionalised guilt. All it takes is some people and some politicians with a spine and this erosion of our culture wouldn’t happen. Our enemies aren’t using more advanced technology or weapons and they don’t have any real physical power, they’re just using propaganda.
