Here is where Harper goes wrong, and gives into to the ridiculous reactionary impulse. Even within his article he states that not all of the 500mm is going to waste. But the second he recieves pushback on his article, he digs in and shits on the whole Foundation. Not great...

Always perilous judging by video clips, but this looks like a lawful shooting that isn’t prosecutable. The officer will have a good case he was in fear of his life, even if in retrospect it looks like he could have gotten out of the way It doesn’t look to me like she was *deliberately* trying to run him over, but she defied officer orders and accelerated at an officer This is a tragedy and she created the predicate for it. DON’T CHASE AND OBSTRUCT LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS, DON’T DEFY LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS, DON’T FLEE THE SCENE OR ACT RECKLESSLY AFTER OFFICERS HAVE ORDERED YOU TO DO SOMETHING. These are very good rules for avoiding these fraught, dangerous circumstances in the first place
