Iran appears to have three other courses of action that it could take to respond to the US blockade on Iranian ports. It is unclear which course of action Iran will pursue at this time. The courses of action include: 1. Iran could agree to a deal acceptable to the United States, which would likely require Iran to make concessions on its nuclear program and other issues. 2. Iran could attempt to run the blockade, a move that would almost certainly result in a US response and possibly the seizure of Iranian vessels central to Iran’s oil trade. 3. Iran could restart or widen the conflict, although it is unclear whether a resumption of the conflict would necessarily end the US blockade on Iranian ports.

NEW: US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that no vessels have breached the US blockade on Iranian ports since CENTCOM implemented its blockade on April 13. The US blockade on Iranian ports does not have a defined geographic boundary, and the United States can interdict vessels almost anywhere in international waters until they arrive at their final port. It is unclear whether any of the vessels that left Iranian ports on April 14 were authorized to do so under CENTCOM’s “limited grade period.” Other Key Takeaways: The United States’ decision not to renew a 30-day sanctions waiver for Iranian oil exports, which is set to expire on April 19, will further constrain Iran’s ability to export oil in addition to the US blockade on Iranian ports. Two US officials told Reuters on April 14 that the US Treasury Department will enforce sanctions on Iranian oil after April 19. Iran is reportedly considering temporarily pausing shipments to avoid testing the US blockade on Iranian ports and raising tensions ahead of possible talks, according to a person familiar with Iranian decision-making on the Strait of Hormuz speaking to Bloomberg on April 14. Iran would only be able to pause shipments for a limited period of time before it would start to run out of room to store oil. Iran could also pursue several other courses of action in response to the US blockade, including agreeing to a deal acceptable to the United States, attempting to run the blockade, or resuming the war. Iranian Supreme Leader Adviser Mohammad Mokhber warned that Iran will “open new fronts” and “increase economic pressures” on US allies and regional countries in response to the US blockade on Iranian ports, likely to try to coerce the United States to end its blockade. Mokhber may have been referring to the Houthis, which has not conducted attacks on international shipping in the Red Sea during the war thus far. Arab officials told the Wall Street Journal on April 14 that Iran is pressuring the Houthis to “close” the Bab al Mandeb Strait. US President Donald Trump stated on April 14 that the United States and Iran may hold another round of talks in Islamabad, Pakistan, “over [the] next two days.” A senior Iranian source told Western media on April 14 that the United States and Iran are keeping April 17 through 19 open for possible talks, but that no date has been confirmed.

JUST IN: On March 14th, a Chinese engineer posted a tutorial explaining how to use passive infrared sensors to detect and track American fighter aircraft without triggering their radar warning receivers. Three weeks later, an American F-15E Strike Eagle is in a crater in central Iran. The IRGC says it was brought down by a “new aerospace defense system.” The system appears to be exactly what the tutorial described. The principle is elegant. Radar is active: it emits radio waves that bounce off the target. Every American fighter carries a warning receiver that detects those emissions. But infrared detection is passive. It reads heat. Jet engines produce heat. A passive sensor tracking that signature emits nothing. The warning receiver stays silent. The pilot does not know he is being tracked until the missile is already in the air. The F-15E is not stealth. But the tutorial was designed for the F-35. The same principle applies: stop looking with radio waves, start looking with heat, and the $1.7 trillion stealth programme becomes a coating on an airframe that is still hot. The tutorial was posted on Chinese social media, translated within days. Three weeks later, the technique appears to have been operationalised. This is the second time passive tactics have brought down a generation-defining American combat aircraft. The first was March 1999, when a Serbian battery commanded by Colonel Zoltan Dani shot down an F-117 Nighthawk over Kosovo using long-wavelength radar and visual cueing. The F-117 was retired within a decade. The lesson: stealth is optimised against specific frequencies. Change the sensor, change the war. Iran’s layered defense integrates Russian S-300 for radar search, Chinese electro-optical trackers for passive acquisition, and Iranian Raad-family missiles with onboard IR cameras for terminal guidance. Radar finds the area. Passive sensors track without emitting. The missile guides on heat. The pilot’s systems detect radar. They do not detect infrared. That gap killed the F-15E. Now consider who built this kill chain. Russia supplied the S-300 base. China supplied the passive sensors. Iran assembled the hybrid. And China is simultaneously the country supplying the rare earth magnets in every F-35 engine, the country blocking the UN Security Council resolution to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, the country paying yuan tolls to transit the closed strait, the country co-authoring the five-point peace plan with Pakistan, and the country whose engineer posted the tutorial that appears to have taught Iran how to shoot down the aircraft China helps manufacture. China occupies every chair at this table. Supplier of the components that build the jet. Teacher of the countermeasure that kills it. Mediator of the peace. Blocker of the UN resolution. Beneficiary of the closure. The molecule passes through the strait in Chinese tankers paying Chinese currency while the aircraft designed to reopen it falls using Chinese technology. The F-15E did not fail. The assumption that the enemy would always look with radar failed. And the country that taught the enemy to look with heat is the same country offering to negotiate the peace while its rare earth controls ensure the replacement cannot be built without buying from the nation that taught the enemy to destroy the original. The kill chain starts in Beijing. The peace talks start in Beijing. Both end in the same crater. open.substack.com/pub/shanakaans…

From a purely game theory standpoint, the smart thing for Iran to do now is to enrich about 80 kg of U-235 to ~90%, build a simple gun type fission bomb and demonstrate it in the desert.

It’s genuinely now clear that 80% of Iran’s progress is being raped by the IRGC. All aspects of the economy, currency, environment, social life, reputation, are being destroyed by the IRGC. The other 20% can be attributed to the actual politicians. I genuinely believe if the Islamic Republic was purely reformist and the IRGC & Hardliners didn’t exist, Iran’s economy would be $1.5 Trillion, similar to Turkey. Fuck the IRGC.

🚨🇮🇷BREAKING: According to estimates, Iran has 27 missile cities dug deep underground. Israelis and Americans constantly attack the entrances to these missile cities, knowing that it is almost impossible to hit the complexes themselves. In some cases, satellite images show that the Iranians manage to reopen the bombed access points within just 48 hours, using engineering equipment deployed to the area. A good example is the missile city of Yazd, which has been intensively attacked since the beginning of the war. This missile city is located deep under Granite rock mountain, making the task of hitting the complex extremely difficult.

If this is for real, and not AI or whatnot, it'd be a hell of a testimonial to the level of infiltration that Israel has achieved in Iran. They got somebody so deep inside the inner circle that they are getting snaps of the Vegatollah in his bunker hospital.

Iran is not the Islamic Republic. Iran’s civilian infrastructure belongs to the Iranian people and to the future of a free Iran. The Islamic Republic’s infrastructure is the machinery of repression and terror used to keep that future from becoming reality. Iran must be protected. The regime must be dismantled. I ask President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu to continue targeting the regime and its apparatus of repression, while sparing the civilian infrastructure Iranians will need to rebuild our country. With the support of the US and Israel, and above all the sacrifice of Iranian patriots, the hour of Iran’s freedom is at hand. Long live Iran!

Targeting Iran’s energy infrastructure will not give America the upper hand in this war. It will drag the war into the region’s energy infrastructure, cause energy prices to skyrocket, and dramatically increase the material and political cost of the war for the Trump administration. Instead of targeting Iran’s power plants, the U.S. should deploy more aircraft carriers and fighter jets to the region to strike the Islamic Republic’s missile stockpiles on a much larger scale. Another appropriate action would be for the U.S.—instead of focusing on Kharg Island and the Strait of Hormuz—to focus on Tehran. With Israel’s help, make Tehran’s streets safe for the people so conditions are created for the public to come out and bring down this regime. A few more weeks and a few hundred billion extra dollars is all this war actually needs. After that, we can all benefit from an Iran after the Islamic Republic.
