@tes Well would you believe it? 10 heads have died so far, with exactly that pressure being recorded by their coroner as a contributory cause of death, including Ruth Perry. How many more deaths - HT DEATHS, folks!! - will it take to realise that Ofsted is past its sell-by date?

@BrexitBuster It never fails to amuse/infuriate me how thick/cynical people are when they bang on about Xmas, Easter, poppies etc being "cancelled" or indeed the sulks over trade descriptions.

The USA bailed Europe out of Two world wars, Rebuilt Europe under the Marshall Plan, and Armed Ukraine against Russia and Europe won't even let America use a military base when we need it. What is America getting out of NATO? Completely onesided.

Interesting theory. Small correction. You entered World War One three years late. World War Two two years late. Not because Roosevelt was eager. Because Japan hit Pearl Harbor and Hitler declared war on you four days later. You did not choose to fight. You were dragged in. Scared and desperate. Canada declared war in September 1939. Britain stood through the Blitz alone. The Soviet Union lost twenty million people while Washington was still deciding. Spare us the hero shit. .

Abolish Ofsted and replace them with...what? All the proposed "local accountability" models sum to substantial bias (both for and against). Like it or not, education is in public ownership so needs a regulator and external accountability. So...replace them with what?

@JudyHamond @Strandjunker Bit more complicated than that. They fled because they were not free to persecute others. They were free to worship but objected to that freedom being applied to others. The human race - We’re a weird bunch aren’t we!

@Strandjunker Ancestors came over on the Mayflower to escape religious persecution they faced in the motherland. Yes, they were Puritans and Christian but they came to the New World to be free to worship in their own way. In other words, they came for religious freedom. That is all.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but we are not a Christian nation. We are a nation where you are free to be a Christian. Your religion guides you, not all of us. It’s as simple as that.

This sentence needs amplification until someone with the power to curb OFSTED’s wrong headed policies takes heed, or puts it out of its (everyone’s)misery ‘Ofsted’s system has zero credibility if it continues to punish schools who do the right thing rather than game the system.’

The @suttontrust finding coupled with how @Ofstednews framework is slamming disadvantaged and inclusive schools is a storm about to rage. A non-inclusive system encouraged and praised by accountability measures that reward creating cultures where not all are welcome.

Despite easily accessible info (e.g. percentage of SEN pupils compared to local average) they somehow fail to have a mechanism to use this data, instead celebrating non inclusive schools. Incompetence,or intention?
