I was getting a little tired of only one button attacks so I decided to change the **UP button** to jump and now the **A button** does a kick instead. Animation is still in progress and the kicks will allow for combos. #playdate #gamedev #indiegame #platformer #pixelartist

please if you have a playdate, go buy Angel Pop (play.date/games/angel-po…) its a great introductory game to the genre, with tons of hand crafted charm. its an essential buy

Here's a recent personal project of mine. The @playdate back•pack! I only made 5. I think it turned out pretty nice and it's a must for low light play. LED is in the arm that also functions as a kickstand or handle. It's kinda cute too 😅

@hellopdpodcast Right. There’s no one right answer to this. And to be clear, SO MUCH of the videos and coverage of Playdate out there are that exact same formula. Few are standing out (hence the shout out for you wonderful gents!).

At some point I want to do a deeper dive about some of the failures I’ve seen in the Playdate community to spread the word effectively about many incredible games on the system, but I’ll start with one thing I complain about frequently: The Playdate subreddit. (Draft thread btw)

@mikesuszek This thread has a lot of good points. When do we scoop off that first batch of ‘must play games’ and laud the next batch? Or simply when someone asks you to recommend games, let them find the old batch that is always mentioned and give them a fresh list.
