I think the reason woble isn’t eligible for the sw is pretty simple. phase 1 of the ritual requires a dedicated prayer. to make a nen vow, the participant needs to have conscious resolve. a literal baby can’t understand national prosperity or give psychological intent #hxh411

@hoikkoro I think they’re mad because Kurapika could’ve told them Woble isn’t actually Woble, so they wouldn’t attack room 1014.
But it wouldn’t change anything anyway, since Benjamin’s soldiers rushed in and attacked right away they wouldn’t have listened.

for anyone confused by the linguistics, I did some research and understood this by thinking about how native japanese speakers struggle with “b” vs “v” because standard japanese doesn't have a native “v”sound, and just collapses everything into the “b” row of the alphabet #hxh412

in hxhverse, the common language is functionally understood as japanese (I think the official guide said this). kurapika thinks and listens in this language. but the kakin native language has completely different speech sounds that dont exist in the common language’s structure
