@2hot2k We are currently working through the applications on a first-come, first-served basis from December, and once we are caught up with the current backlog we expect to be able to respond to application inquiries with much quicker turnaround times regularly going forward.

@2hot2k Hi Andrew, In December 2022, when we advertised the fund, we received 700 applications, and are now up to almost 1500 applications that must be reviewed and adjudicated for eligibility.

@ABFedLabour @CanadianLabour @TexasAFLCIO Then @hsabc's @kanetse and @USWDistrict3's Scott Lunny led a discussion among our group. It was a frank accounting of the impacts of both economic and climate disruption on working people and BC communities.

Highlights of the contract include a general wage increase of about 12-14% over three years for all members, plus additional increases for most members based on a review of all classifications over this period. The general wage increase is retroactive to April 1, 2022.

@nogoodrefs Hi James, that is simply not accurate. What you've shared is essentially a housekeeping change that modernizes contract language -- we don't use "clusters" or "CHCs" any more in BC.
