Anyone else settling in to read the new @medicarepayment report? Here's an interesting tidbit: Between 2014-2018, total PER CAPITA health care spending, including cost sharing, grew 24% for the privately insured vs 10% for beneficiaries in traditional Medicare (Figure 1-3)

I for one don’t care whether the president or his congressional enablers put out disingenuous pablum about John Lewis. Pass and sign a voting rights bill. Name it after him. And then we can talk. Actions not empty words. Lewis always led from the front.

As a public private utility, HIEs also need to enable the patient right of access. In the time of COVID, that should be a priority, to connect data to patients, and support accountability for how their data is shared with health depts.

Completely agree. I believe HIEs of the future will be public-private utilities, deeply serving the needs of Medicaid, aggregating, matching and cleaning data for population analytics, supporting data sharing between providers and plans.
