Workers are protesting in Noida, and unfortunately it turned violent. But before blaming them, take a look at our minimum wages. India’s minimum wage was ₹50 in 2003. When the UPA came to power, and by the time it left office, it had increased to ₹137 per day. That’s a rise of 174% in ten years, nearly three times. Since then, the minimum wage rose to ₹176 in 2017 and has stayed around ₹178 per day from 2019 till today. That’s barely 29% growth in 12 years. It has hardly moved since 2017, for nearly nine long years. Anyone reading this might be earning much more than the minimum wage. But are you earning the same salary as in 2017? If yes, would you be able to sustain a decent life today? Minimum wage growth has almost stopped since demonetisation and GST were introduced back to back from 2016. This also reflects the true state of the Indian economy. All the $4 trillion GDP claims don’t match with this reality. If the growth is real, why hasn’t the minimum wage increased in the last nine years? During the UPA period, growth was high, real and visible. One simple indicator was the 174% increase in minimum wages over ten years. People were clearly better off. Now were are being impoverished under the rule of 'West India Company', who are busy hollowing out the entire economy.

Before lecturing others on the economy, maybe look at your own backyard. Kerala’s youth unemployment (15-29 age group) is at a staggering 29.9%—nearly three times the national average. What good is talking about minimum wages when you are systematically failing to create local jobs, forcing your educated youth to migrate to places like Noida just to find work? Fix your own crisis first

@INCKerala Imagine not knowing the difference between the advisory National Floor Wage and actual State Minimum Wages. 🤡 The floor is ₹178, but the actual mandated minimum wage in Noida is ₹423+/day. Delhi is ₹763+/day. Stop using non-binding technicalities to fake an economic crisis

Parali is definitely a massive macro issue, but it's seasonal (Oct-Nov). Vehicular emissions choke the city 365 days a year. Two-wheelers make up over 70% of Delhi's total vehicle fleet—millions of them idling in daily traffic create severe, localized toxic pockets right where we breathe. We have to solve the 365-day problem alongside the 60-day problem.

@kapsology What if you didn't need a parking spot to charge it? Since the 2028 ban is for two-wheelers, most of these come with detachable batteries. People can just carry them up to their apartments and charge them like a smartphone or laptop. No allocated parking needed! 🔋🔌
