@itsme_urstruly I listen to bedtime stories on the app Calm and fall asleep before the story is finished.

@laura_tee_mdgi @rejserin @BriannaWu This is the best way I’ve ever seen this addressed / explained. Thank you.

Not exactly,
It means we are women, who through no fault of our own, were exposed to massive levels of testosterone for years if not decades that changed our bodies in ways that confer meaningful competitive advantages in several meaningful domains, that are not nullified by even years of estrogenization.
It doesn’t make me less of a woman, but a woman
with a body type and physiology that is more high performing in athletic competition than if I hadn’t been involuntarily masculizined.
And I can hold both those as truths, and decide how to incorporate both those truths to address the question of is it fair to compete against or along side other women.

The personal attacks I’ve gotten for breaking on the trans sports issue have been extreme. It’s cost me friendships.
I’m a fairly serious runner. I can easily run 8 minute miles for an hour, even in my 40s. I could qualify for the Boston Marathon women’s division fairly easily.
I don’t do that because, even though I am 20 years without testosterone - I transitioned to sit at the table with women. Not to displace. Not to upset. I want to get along. And my long thin legs are a massive advantage for distance running.

The attacks from the far left on Gavin Newsom for breaking with Dem orthodoxy and backing the exclusion of trans females from girls and women’s sports has been savage. Presumably if activists cannot scare other Dems away from following suit, the issue will be lost on the left.

@tomri33le @DanniBrener Women didn’t have the same choices back then. They were not financially independent. They couldn’t really choose to remain single. Contraceptives were not available. Now we can choose to be childless and not put up with the disrespect and abuse our grandmas had to put up with

To those complaining about the low birth rate, here’s a few ideas…
1) Treat women with respect. They are not your maid/servant/mom/receptacle. Even if the women is your maid or your mom, they deserve respect.
2) Treat mothers with respect. It is one of the most difficult jobs out there with the least compensation. Oh yeah, don’t get mad when women say they deserve compensation for literally creating/raising life.
3) Treat babies & children with respect. If you want to raise good members of society, it starts young. That doesn’t mean place babies above all else, but it does mean you need to stop complaining any time a child is in public.
4) One of the most important (despite being #4)…PUT TIME, RESEARCH, & MONEY INTO WOMEN’S HEALTH ISSUES. PREGNANCY IS DANGEROUS….MORE EFFORT NEEDS TO MADE TO KEEP WOMEN AND BABIES HEALTHY.
If you can do these things, you might see women CHOOSING to have more children.

@broadwaybabyto Isn’t true. It shouldn’t even be 1, for sure. But the ‘wrong’ use of MAiD is a symptom not a cause. The argument should be for better support not for removing the option of MAiD.
English

@broadwaybabyto Then that’s the part that needs fixing. It isn’t a MAiD problem, it’s a social services problem and that’s where the focus should be. We don’t know how many ppl like that ended up opting for MAiD. The guy who wrote the article implied it’s all 700 but that obviously

It is extremely disturbing to see right-wing Israeli activists, with several government ministers in attendance, calling for reestablishing settlements in Gaza.
Let's be clear: What they are calling for is ethnic cleansing. (1/6)
