I feel sorry for the many talented journalists who work for Reach but surely it's clear that this 'press giant' is headed for obliteration? Mainly due to factors outside its control but moronic policies like this will speed up the demise

I cannot believe David has gone. I studied with him at City and he became a true friend. He was the kindest, gentlest, most decent of our cohort and had so much more to give. He really lived and loved and did great work - his reporting on Ukraine led the field. A terrible loss.
