VDM has many serious questions to answer, and the responses are required urgently. You cannot create a fake voice note impersonating the sitting President of Nigeria, fully aware that it is fabricated, and expect that there will be no repercussions for your actions. You are not above the law. The law of the land will take the necessary steps to ensure you are properly prosecuted for this wrongdoing.

JUST IN: Presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, has called for legal action against social media influencer, Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VDM, for circulating an audio clip of a fabricated recording attributed to President Bola Tinubu.

The plan remains, VDM will be arrested as soon as he touch down in Nigeria. He must account for the video, doctored or not. He is the Ratel President and must account for the actions of his agents.

My stands still remain that VDM must be arrested and answer questions relating to the said video. Here is why; First, he said multiple times that he is the owner of RATELS and has registered and trademark it in almost all categories. The source of the said video is believed to have originated from “RATEL TV”, a page that has been consistent in circulating almost all VDM videos since its creation. The pages is across all social media platforms and followers of the page are RATELS Members. Second, the leader of the RATELS or what VDM describes as the “PRESIDENT” of the RATEL group, an association that is owned and controlled by him VDM, all their activities are sanctioned expressly or impliedly by VDM, therefore, denying the video alone does not remove him from liability, because he is the “PRINCIPAL” of the organization and is vicariously liable to but criminal and civil liabilities arising from the conduct of the group or members of that group, because they are always acting as the agent of their President (VDM). Third, yes the video was fake and was made by a person controlling his RATELS pages and they have VDM authorities, either expressly or impliedly to be doing what they are posting. Therefore, the duty is on him to produce the maker of that video or face the consequences himself. A simple example of this position is, assuming that during a cleaning session of the Ratels, someone was injured by the negligence of the Ratels member, VDM will be held liable by law. @aonanuga1956 was not wrong to call for his arrest, neither was anyone who supported the call for his arrest. Clearly, this fight is not a muscle fight, and VDM should be wise enough to start looking for the maker of the video and or produce him to the authorities or own up to the video as his. Coming online to make a video insulting people will not help him. @OfficialDSSNG should take not of this position. You can’t mess around with everyone. There is no amount of damage control VDM can do at this point; he must face the full weight and consequences of the law. As a celebrity and self-acclaimed social media activist, he should understand that activism is not a license for recklessness, lawlessness or endangering national security. There are boundaries that must never be crossed, regardless of clout, popularity or social media influence. Publishing and circulating a voice note alleged to be a private phone conversation involving Mr.President is an extremely grave security offense arguably even more sensitive and dangerous than the issues surrounding El-Rufai. Matters relating to the President’s communication and national security are not things any individual should trivialize for content, attention or online engagement. Sadly, VeryDarkmam has gradually transformed what many once considered activism into outright stupidity, unnecessary provocation and a reckless display of irresponsibility. Activism should be about accountability, truth and societal improvement not sensationalism, harassment or conduct capable of threatening state security. The @OfficialDSSNG should move swiftly and decisively on this matter in order to prevent any further threat to national security. Issues involving sensitive communications linked to the Presidency should never be treated with levity, as silence or delayed action could encourage more reckless acts capable of undermining the nation’s security and stability. Call Me Bayo Onanuga whatever names you like, it still won’t change the fact that both your parents combined can’t match his standards.
