On March 19, days before the premiere, video footage of Paul’s 2023 domestic violence incident with her on-again, off-again partner Dakota Mortensen appeared online. Disney, which owns ABC and Hulu, announced that it “made the decision to not move forward with the new season of ‘The Bachelorette’ at this time.” “When you come at me, that’s a different level of ‘I will give it back to you,’” Paul told Jennings in mid-February. “I’m not rising above. “Rarely Do I Dream” turns 1 year old tomorrow. I’ve increasingly fallen in love with life, and this album is a document to that. Despite how hard the world tries to convince us otherwise, doomsday is not coming soon and tomorrow’s sunlight will still be beautiful.  When an artist says something is their ‘best work’ that couldn’t be more meaningless.
