I’ve had early access to GPT-5.4 Pro. Without any reservation, I can say it is the most intelligent AI model to date, even significantly surpassing GPT-5.2 Pro at several levels! I’ve been using it non-stop past several days and am super excited about another major jump in AI!
I will share specific examples, but overall GPT-5.4 Pro demonstrates relatively higher creativity, insight, and abstract intelligence. It tends to ask “why,” “what if,” “can I,” and “why it matters” type questions more frequently than the 5.2 Pro model.
It also appears to generalize more effectively and comes across as more AGI-like in its reasoning, and even displays human-like intuition! Especially biomedical science-based responses are unifying large data sets and simply amazing!

Nobody seems to know how insane GPT-5.4 is with computer use.
I asked GPT-5.4 to draw the OpenAI logo in Microsoft Paint.
No computer use API. Just a screenshot and basic tool calls (click, drag, press_key) all coordinate-based.
The first drawing was awful. And GPT knew it. It looked at its own result and essentially went "yeah, no."
What happened next is what broke my brain:
It opened a browser. Went to Bing Images. Searched for the OpenAI logo. Found one. Then (and I cannot stress this enough) it used the Windows area screenshot shortcut (Win+Shift+S) to snip just the logo off the screen. Went back to Paint. Imported it. Centered it.
All on its own. No instructions to do any of that. It just improvised a better strategy when the first one failed. My prompt was "Draw the OpenAI logo" with Paint already opened on the computer.
Sure, it's "cheating." But honestly? That's exactly what I'd do too. And the fact that it came up with this plan from nothing but a screenshot and a coordinate system is wild.

codex is a revelation. the learning curve is steep but i think my typical workflow has fundamentally changed in < 1 week. everything going forward is a version-controlled git repo. everything. an astonishing tool for science @kevinweil @sama @OpenAI

Today, is the day, that copyright dies. Welcome to the age of the remix and the inability to control IP from this day forward. There's no legal apparatus that can fend off the tide that is coming.

Seedance 2.0 Prompt: Larry David gets in trouble for using Seedance 2 - make sure it’s retarded and gets 50 likes.

This needs to become a format

We've made insane progress on motion control in AI video. Seedance 2 doesn't just take text and image prompts - you can also upload a reference video to guide it. Here I uploaded a video + an image for a relatively complex character swap, and the results are pretty clean 👌
