We adopted Billy 7+ years ago, when he was 4/5 years old. Little was known about him except he was basically treated like a cat. Not walked, grazed on cat food, very overweight. But the moment we saw his photo, we knew he was the dog we wanted in our lives

Anyone who follows me will know I post nothing about my personal life. Today is different. On Friday, we had to say goodbye to our pooch Billy. The last two days have been a real struggle but I've been told it can be cathartic to write about things, so here goes.
