4th in European Championships for @jamesedgar___ Nice result coming back after disappointment of missing out on Olympics.

4th in Europe!!!! Small margins and an absolute tactical shitshow but a career best result to finish off the individual performances for the weekend before the Mixed Team Relay today

@PGriffinFC @Digger_forum @PGriffinFC completely agree. People see these one off performance every 4 years and think they’re a freak occurrence and don’t see the countless stepping stones in the other 207 weeks and 4th place finishes at Worlds

@jamesedgar___ @Digger_forum The thing is what annoys me on this and I say it as a regular follower of swimming and watching him over the years, is nearly all these guys who say it never watch the sport and have no knowledge or context with how his career has progressed. It's tiresome.

I’m going to get lambasted here but I’m hugely uncomfortable with Wiffen’s dominance here. In an endurance event where oxygen carrying ability is paramount, he must be one hell of an athlete. And swimming must be insanely clean as a whole.

Took a gamble racing back to back Olympic distance races on 2 different continents in the hope of scoring some good points from a breakaway. Made the breakaway out of the water in 5th before travel caught up with me and the effort far outweighed the output

Podium once again out here in Mexico 🇲🇽 2nd place this time and had to battle for it on the run, I was dropped multiple times along the 10km but kept fighting and got the job done in the sprint for home 🥈

Back to Back 🏆 Great end to season season out here in Xiamen, winning the race by almost 3minutes with a 30:34 10km after a 5man breakaway on the 40km bike New little man watching me pee this week, much more talkative than last week
