MAGA moron: "I don't think President Trump posted that. I think somebody else posted that. It's whatever the media wants you to believe is what gets posted most of the time. Somebody else posted that. AI or somebody. President Trump didn't post that."

@MauriceJay You think if that was all it took, there would not be more people doing it? You in the trophy, you win $5 million, and probably residual income of over 10 million. You wouldn't have to play any other tournament. Let me see maybe a lot of skill is really involved.

I seriously hope Rory plays Augusta every fecking day for about 6 weeks up to the tournament next year if it makes for another win. DRY YOUR EYES you whiney clowns; it's what all former winners can do.

@LenHochberg Asking a question the answers itself, and has been answered time after time after time going back to Casper days and Gary player and Jack Nicolas the All took more time at the masters if you can, you do. And I don't think the post was in innocence.

@webmaster_major @TheGolfDivoTee Because he probably had to sort his sock drawer. There is no need requirement, desire or invitation to attend and certainly nothing nefarious.

I'm surprised Scottie wasn't at the Masters presentation ceremony. There were two chairs side by side initially and then the unoccupied one was moved further back. In the past runners-up have always attended and as a two-time winner it would have been a classy move to have Scottie help Rory into his green jacket.

@BrandonVincen14 @CPhilly19 Your logic behind your statement is completely absent. Read some rules look at some past experiences and then maybe you realize how stupid your comments are.

@CPhilly19 I think it's a valid concern. Rory had unlimited access to ANGC and others didn't. You don't think that's unfair?

@billywhizz38 @TheGolfDivoTee Neither do I, but I think the purpose of the comment was to breed some devious plot from it. They excluded Scottie or Scottie excluded himself. They are so easy to see through

@TheGolfDivoTee I might be wrong but I can’t recall ever seeing a runner up attending the Masters ceremony. In the butler cabin, it’s normally the winner, the defending champion and the low amateur. At the prize giving outside, it’s the same scenario.

If Scottie or Tiger or Jordan had said they’d come to ANGC to get prep work in weeks before the tourney, no one would be saying a word.

I have to ask…why is Rory hated so much now by some? I’ve had literally 100+ replies espousing hate on Rory. Before his Masters win he was beloved. Yes he has said some dumb things, but anyone as open as he is would. He speaks candidly all the time.

Incredible dialogue around @McIlroyRory winning Augusta. The easiest thing in the world for him to do was sit around and drink Guinness for his entire life after completing the Grand Slam. The fact he went to Augusta to practice as hard as he did is elite behaviour. Anyone who is jealous he could do it by flying a private jet there and back simply hasn’t earnt that right. Most people don’t have that dedication which is why they are finding reasons to knock what is simply an unbelievable achievement. Sport is purest form of meritocracy and Sunday showed that.

@TomJacobs93 Access is there ability of r desire to do so is not the responsibility of masters or anyone. Life is like that. Sometimes you do not have the desire OR resources to go as far as you wish. Again , that's life

I don’t agree with the criticism of Rory’s prep, but this isn’t true either Past champions get clearer access. Most invitees get a couple of practice rounds pre-tournament week, then need invites Crucially, not all players have a private jet, and can play a limited schedule
Brandel Chamblee@chambleebrandel

Every single professional player who qualified for the Masters could go early and play as many practice rounds as they wish. Just as so many others, including Jack Nicklaus, have done in the past. The only advantage Rory had over the field was his considerable skill.
