Triton Poker@tritonpoker

8 Triton titles!! Jason Koon triumphs once again at Event #6 $60k NLH, an impressive feat that can only be achieved by one as focused and tenacious as 🇺🇸 @JasonKoon. It's been a long, tense, yet thrilling battle, as we witness the master work his magic, knocking out worthy opponents one by one with what seemed like apparent ease. 🤯 Jason's mind-blowing strategy to outwit without breaking a stride shows us why he's the best of the best, and why he continues with his winning streak this year. Congratulations again, Jason! 🎉 @GGPoker @pokerstakecom #LesAmbassadeursClub

My father passed away last night while I was playing the 5k 6 max and I’ve never hurt this bad or felt this empty inside. I’m absolutely devastated! My heart is shattered into a million pieces! I feel so lost 💔💔💔💔

Triton Poker@tritonpoker

🏆 7-TIME-CHAMPION 🏆! Yes, it is the man himself, 🇺🇸 Jason Koon! A massive congratulations for the seventh time! 🎉 @JasonKoon blazed through the $100k Main Event in a dominant fashion. There were ups and downs leading to the Final table, but when he took off, there was no stopping him. 🔥 An astonishing amount of 💰 $2,451,082 will accompany his seventh Triton title. An amazing accomplishment deserving for an amazing competitor. 🙌🏻 @GGPoker @pokerstakecom @_Jacobandco @Merit_Poker

Guy in PLO game last night had a 200k necklace which I’m wearing in pic below. @kingbrody wants this to be my new profile pic since I haven’t changed it in like 8 years. But I don’t think I can make that commitment.

These last four weeks have been incredibly difficult for me, culminating in a trip to the ER last week; a pretty insane chain of events. This is the story of how ketamine helped me get back on feet, literally. I've battled back issues for over 15 years, working with physical therapists (PTs) whenever new issues arise and managing them. Over time, it has become increasingly difficult to handle them while constantly being on the road without a permanent home. It's challenging to maintain consistency in working with the right PT when new issues arise. Last August, while bending over repeatedly to pick up my 2-year-old in the Barcelona airport, something tweaked and left me in bad shape. I could only walk for about 5-10 minutes before experiencing intense nerve pain. I immediately got an MRI, which revealed two herniated discs: one at L5/S1 and the other at L4/L5. In January, during my trip to the Bahamas, the only way I managed was by using one of those electric scooters to get around. Many of you may have seen me at recent tournaments, carrying my yoga mat to each event and doing back exercises during every 15-minute break. Combined with a lumbar support, this has been the only way I could manage to play. For the next few months, I was somewhat managing the symptoms by doing exercises and stretches I had learned from PTs. However, I couldn't do basic things like running or walking for more than 5 minutes at a time. Then, suddenly, four weeks ago, the nerve pain in my left leg glute, which I normally only experienced after walking, seemed to become permanent. I canceled my trip to Hardrock and started physical therapy 2-3 times a week, but no matter how simplified and limited they made my exercises and movements, things kept getting worse for four weeks straight. I tried various steroids and lumbar epidural shots, but nothing helped. The first lumbar epidural shot was incredibly difficult to even get because I couldn't even lie flat on my belly, and we had to cancel the second one for the same reason. For the past few weeks, I haven't been able to stand upright, sit in a chair, or walk. Initially, I could use a walker to walk, but even that became difficult. I was essentially limited to two positions: lying on my right side in bed or sitting in a zero gravity chair. I spent three weeks in these 2 positions, doing simple ankle exercises to minimize muscle atrophy and reduce the risk of blood clots. Going to the bathroom was very difficult, and I couldn't shower. I had to rely on shower wipes to clean myself while lying down. With no signs of improvement and things still getting worse, I couldn't imagine what could be worse than my current situation. I was afraid of permanent nerve damage and other issues related to being immobile for so long. Not to mention the hardship on my wife, who had to take care of both me and our 2-year-old while also running our coaching business. So we fast-tracked the process of getting surgery to undergo a microdiscectomy, which would involve removing the herniated discs that were likely compressing my nerves. 1/2
